Or so it seemed like to the silly Thunderbird owner I raced this morning. He just wouldn't believe me that the Marauders had a Mach 1 DOHC 4v in it. He persisted to keep telling me, "It's just a Crown Vic with appearance mods." I think after I beat him 4 times badly he started to get the idea, but he still wouldn't believe me. I even showed him my engine, "Look at how big the cam covers are!" "Oh they're about the same size as mine." LOL, okay guy. :P:rolleyes:

Sounds like a real D-bag to me
You should have said "no no this has the 3.0L V6 that comes in the ford 500 :D "
Or better yet " I did a motor swap out of a SVT contour and put it in my black grand marquis"

I should have been like, "Man, you're so smart you should be the owner of the car since I'm wrong!"

When I took my Marauder for it's first test drive, the salesman told me to floor it at a stop light. I said "Dang, they really make these little two valvers run hard!"
I was really surprised because I was driving a '94 Thunderbird at the time and it had the 4.6.
Heck, I had absolutely no idea Marauders came with the 32v motor until he said something.
I didn't even think mine was real the first time I saw it. I thought they only came in black. The only thing that kept me from driving past it at the dealership was the 'Marauder' in the bumper cover.
What can I say? New cars bore me. I haven't read an issue of Motor Trend since 1988. Apparently few other people do either. People still walk by by car at shows and say "Gee, that's what a cop car motor looks like".

Now now, don't you know the cops removed that top secret chip? No civilian is allowed to have those chips! The penalty is worse than removing the tags on your mattress! LOL :-)

Let him test drive (with you in the car of course) and see how fast he drops that bird.
