I worked for a rental car co. (not Hertz) I would not buy a rental car even if my life depended on it. I also read the Motor Trend article on this car other than the limited # of cars they are not worth it. $43K for a used rental car you got to be FN kidding me.

I rent alot of Hertz cars... prolly close to 75 per year. I'd never buy one I rented...

Drive it like you rented it :banana2:

Yea, I would never pay that much for a rental car. Plus I don't see why they think they are rare. All they have is a decal package, intake/exhaust and supposedly a short throw shifter on the 5spd versions.

Never buy a rental car. Your car = dodge pot holes: rental car = aim for pot holes

I just rented one of the new Convertible Shelbys from Hertz for a week in San Diego! A lot of fun but I wouldn't buy one. It only had 3000 miles on it and while the fit and finish looked good, it had way to many squeeks, rattles and noise going over rough roads or bumps.
It did handle VERY well and turned heads everywhere we went!
There was a small metal clip behind the Traction Control on/off switch that prevented me from turning off the traction control! That s**ked!
The throttle by wire also s**ks!

Wow hertz sells theyre rentals fast, Enterprise lets them go at 20k roughly, my sisters fiance is the manager at a enterprise used car dealer in Raleigh, NC and they do get some nice trade in's. Like a V8 lexus and some MB's. No marauders :(
