I just noticed this about the remote trunk release button on the driver's door. My last car, an ancient "89 Cadillac Fleetwood, had a similar switch, only in the glove compartment. It had some sort of "interrupt" sensor which wouldn't allow you to open the trunk unless the car was in Park. That way you couldn't accidentally open the trunk going down the highway at 80 MPH. I wanted to find out if our MM's had this safety feature, so I put the car in Drive, and drove down the street at about 5 MPH and reached down to hit the switch. Sure enough, the trunk popped open. Just be careful where you put your hands while driving! (Just like Mom always told you!)

Another nice thing about having the spoiler...it counter-balances the deck lid so it wants to stay more in the down position...and even if it did somehow unlatch while underway, the extra wind resistance would tend to help keep it down...

Stopped at a garage security checkpoint a few months ago, I tried to pop the trunk using the key fob while in Drive and it didn't open. The trunk release on the door was locked, so I couldn't try it.
