For Sale....Good condition, externally dirty, 95,000 miles NON-PI SOHC 2V engine from a 2000 Grand Marquis. Ran great, no smoke, minimal leak at valve covers, and synthetic Mobil 1 oil used from 12,000 miles to 95,000 miles. It appears to be an iron block.

It is shown in the fifth picture here (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showpost.php?p=521942&postcount=1).

At one time, around the 20,000 mile mark, I had pinging while towing a 1600lb trailer & boat on the large hills near Courtland, NY. The car only towed this boat about once a year. I solved the issue by getting a "motor vac" type of cleaning. Was using 93 octane all of the time that caused a carbon buildup. Since then I used 89 octane & ran seafoam or Techron about once every 2-3 months.

It has the OEM plastic intake mainfold & plastic coolant crossover. The only reason I swapped this motor (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showpost.php?p=526966&postcount=47)was to acheive the improved performance that the DOHC provides.

Open for any offers. Buyer to pay for shipping or pick up at Reinhart's (http://www.reinhartautomotive.com/) in Orange Park, FL.
