This just happend today, picked up a filing cabinet for our new basement and saw this. It looks abit worse in person, although there isnt to much on the car itself, most of it is on the rim/tire

Whats the best way to get this crap off

Although i did get a good picture of my car in the rain. Squirrles keep dropping nuts on my car, in a few minutes 2 squirrels are going to fall out of that tree into the road :mad2:

"Goof Off" will get it but first try it on a small inconspicuous spot to see if it will harm the clear coat.....I have used it on the Marauder many times!!

Good Luck!!

Shoot it. It's a chevy. A little Xylene will take it off but go sparingly and use it only as a last resort. Vigorous rubbing will damage the clearcoat.

The reason why it picked up the roadpaint is because it's a GM vehicle and they tend to attract *****ty things. If he were in the MM, it would have bounced off the paint.

Kind of an "I'm rubber and you're glue" thing right?

goo gone might work.

especially if there is a good clear coat or wax under the new paint.

My Gfs car was once tagged with spraypaint, so I went to my hardware store to get a concensus on what woulf be best to remove it... When I came back her car was perfect... she cleaned it with nail polish remover, clearcoat was perfect too!

I cant argue to much, but atleast the GM's tend not to squeak or rattle ;)

Our old 03 yukon took 6 rocks to the windsheild and not 1 spider crack, but we got a good deal on a replacement. Lasted to 100k miles, so so close to putting a K&N on it, had it out of the box, but got the new tahoe instead :D

And if we were in the MM it WOULD have gotten paint on it and i woulda been screaming the F word so loud i'd have the cops called on me, probably end up in court for assult.

Let us know what you use, and how it worked.
I have a similar problem...better than 50% of my Marauder has gold gasket over spray that I have yet to figure out how to remove.

This happened to me once with a truck I had, but I maintained the finish pretty well so that I just let the paint cure and I was able to carefully "pop" the yellow bits off with my fingernail. It was quite tedious, but I got it all.

Ok...no problem trying goo-gone. That's the orange base stuff correct?

The Goof-off is the powerfull stuff I believe...or is it the other way around?

You might try mineral spirits paint thinner, the oil based kind. I have found this to be less damaging than Goo Gone. Can also try WD-40 as well. The more Oily the product and the less volitle (sp?) the better.

When almost done, use a good polish IMMEDIATELY.

WD-40? It has 1000+ uses.

I had a guy tell me an old trick. the super fine gojo on the tires with a toothbrush. I have not done this myself yet, I had new tires put on and they have paint marks on them. I plan on trying it when I wash next! Good Luck.:)

Everytime I see this I think it says Tatoo, not Tahoe.

I wonder how he did that and then I realise my error and skip the thread.
