I think my tires were recalled or something because they went bald after the supercharger went on. I need new rear tires for the street and was wondering what you guys use since our factory tires aren't around right now. I need something for street use only. Please let me know. Thanks. :burnout:

I'm about ready to replace the rears and have decided to go with Toyo Proxes S/T in 255/55/18. I need an all weather tire as the MM is my daily driver and I do have a limited amount of snow in the winter.
I have Toyo Proxes T1S summer tires on my TBird SC and love them.

I just bought these for the rears from this website. http://www.tires-easy.com/start.html only thing is that the tires aren't UTQG rated at 420, they are actually 300. but watch the price, it's been as low as $96 + shipping and they make them in stock front sizes but are $165. they are also 300 UTQG rated. So far I don't have any complaints. I'm running the pressure around 30psi as a test to watch the wear pattern.

I don't know about the availability of factory rears (which was, I suppose, the original question) but the fronts are certainly available. Just ordered 2 new fronts (stock size/KDWs/etc) for $79 each from tire rack...
Granted, that was listed as a "special", but the NTB I called up first wanted $179 each! Now that's just ridiculous.

I see the fronts on ebay for around $70 each and the rears around $120 each all day long, I don't know where these super high priced tire stories are coming from.
