I have a question to direct to tuner guys. If you are not a tuner guy, your reply, however interesting it might be, will be respectfully overlooked.:P

When installing a WET NOS system, my question is in regards to specifically the part where you choose what nitrous jet and fuel jet combo to obtain 75, 100, or 125 shot of boost at the nozzle, into the intake manifold.

WHICH INSTALLATION METHOD DO YOU PREFER:

Using a nozzle configuration as described in the installation manual, IE, using a 40mm+26mm nozzle jet head to obtain 75 hp, using 46mm+30mm nozzle jet head to obtain 100 hp, or using the 54mm+34mm nozzle jet head to obtain 125hp.......

OR

Using 'whatever' set of nozzles your hand grabbed, and making rich/lean adjustments via the dyno, and with software correcting this non-by-the-book choice of nozzle jet heads to obtain similar said boost results.

Consensus please.

Here is link to the 82026 manufacturer suggested nozzle combinations, and results.

I am current set up using a 40mm and 54mm jet head, neither of which was designed to be used together by the manufacturer.

I'll explain later.;)

I went with the manual specs on the jets/timing and pulled timing/4 for 125 -- left it alone when running the 75.

Of course, I don't have a dyno at my disposal, but you didn't bother to ask that part. :P

On a side note, I picked up over 8 tenths on my ET when running the 75 shot, and then got another 0.35 switching to the 125 shot. If it had not been so cool, or I had a warmer I bet I could get another 2 tenths out of it on the 125. I just couldn't get the pressure above about 750.

Personally.... I would do what the Manual / MFG suggests or recommends.

I am sure other combos COULD work... but "I" would not want "mine" done that way. I let Zack be the guinea pig :D

Barry, why not save your pennys for a SC instead of taking the chance of croaking another engine with nos?

The current Motor is Forged, so NO issue there.

Cruztaker;

By "Tuner Guy" I'm thinking you mean someone who has a good working and theoretical knowlege of wet nitrous systems. You may want to widen your search to the Mustang forums. I don't think there are too many wet nitrous systems on Marauders and corresponding expertise may not fully reside on this site.

Your are free to respectfully disregard this post since I have a wet nitros system but am not a "tuner guy". However, DUHTROLL's post is worth considering.

with all the kits ive used ,i have never just installed jets ,ive gone off the suggested jet sizing list and never had a problem ,you need a wide band to be safe without dyno tuning
