Hey guys...This is the second issue I have had with my Maruader. I did do a search to see if someone had something similar, but i couldnt find anything. While driving (and really laying down the hammer) at around 5500+ rpm when the tranny shifts, it lets off a loud squeak. It never happens under normal driving. Any help is appreciated..

Thanks,
Brandon

EDIT: I forgot to add, I have an xcal 2 tune on the car. Might be shifting to hard for the car?

My car has done that once or twice since i put the tune on it too, however i have seen stock vehicles do this also...to be honest it doesnt really sound like a trans noise....it sounds more like a belt squeel what it could possibly be(keep in mind this is just a theory) is becuase of the harder shifts the rpms drop more rapidly and belt momentarily slips on one of the pulleys

It is most likely the serpentine belt...Happens on my CVPIs too...of course I never get them over 4K..ha.....

Try switching to a Gatorback belt.

Definitely the belt. If I get heavy on the throttle and then just let off I get a loud squeal. I was also getting the squeal at WOT during the 2-3 shift. A new belt cured this.

Does the car squeal right before the shift or after?

To me it sounds like when it shifts, but is prob right before..I am getting a new gatorback belt today..Will see if that does the trick :)
