Alright remember that problem I was having with the torque converter where it is acting like it's stock off the line??? Well the problem is now back and will not go away unless the car is cold. So I'm guessing it's not getting enough fluid or something, maybe a pump. What is causing this because I am very ticked off!!! :mad2::mad2::mad2:

My guess is that the forward clutches burned out.

Sorry about that Dom but I also think something is wrong with the drivetrain. Cars have only a limited amount of abuse "in bank". You know more than all of us how much "fun" you had.

Auto trans don't routinely last the whole car mileage and given our car cars are heavy .... Now, if you had beaten often the crap out of it, cut the expected lifespan at least in half. So if you've got, say, over 50-60 000 miles, maybe it's the time to go to a trans specialist. Even if it got a couple miles left in it, you won't rebuilt it for nothing the way you use it !!

So yes, it is easy. :o

Maybe the TC isn't engaged into the front pump enough.

Could it be a lockup issue? Won't lockup be delayed up until a certain temp is reached?

Take it to Darrin at BC Automotive. About the only tranny guy I've ever talked to who knows both the hardware and software as well as how they interact.

I just called Dennis's place and he is outta town. The people down there told me it could be my tune and this wasn't happening until after the tune to fix the shift problem. I was told if it is a bad tune, Dennis could fix it. I'll see that guy tomorrow so we'll see. I will go to BC Automotive if this doesn't work though. Thank you for the info and I'll keep everyone updated because I always seem to have "unusual" problems.

FWIW....You went to someone to "Dyno-Tune" a perfectly good "Canned" DiabloSport tune...right??

I think most dyno tuners LOCK the TC in 3rd gear with the software to get a direct drive line hookup with no TC slipping??

My money is on the tuner screwing up your electronic trans controls and trans shift schedules!!!:argue:

There have been many discussions here on the pluses and minuses of dyno tuning for street cars......making the most "PEAK" power you can doesn't necessarily make your car faster and will most likely cause issues during street use??

First thing I would do is return the car to "STOCK".......re-load the Diablo tune that came with the kit (hope you got the Diablo tuner) and start over!!

IF THAT WORKS......leave it alone for awhile and get a feel for the car before you go and make more changes!!!:cool4:

My $.02??;)
