Finally made it! Picking up my MM Friday (fingers crossed :woohoo:)
Damn it, gotta pay like 1,200 in taxes on it before they let me register it. :mad2: Anyhow, Im assuming that any Mustang performance shop should be pretty proficient on these cars. There is a speedshop in Manchester called J and M Corvettes that has a dyno and an apparently well trained staff. Anyone deal with them before? My car is coming with a tuner (dont know which one) so I assume they can get me a pretty good tune out of it if it doesnt have one already.
:burnout:

Nope. Don't assume that a stang shop knows anything about Marauders.

Please ask any questions or seek advice here on this board first. It will save you time, money and heartache. The folks on this board have already pre tested any mods you can possibly think of. Your local area fellow Marauderers can probably tell you which local shops have any clues. I went to a local speed shop based on a referral from my local buddies and found out while chatting that the owners wife drives a Marauder. Can't beat that with a stick!

And I would not assume that a shop that dynotunes GM products (corvettes) has knowledge about Ford products.

The tuner that comes with your car...if the tune/tuner came from Lidio or Dennis Reinhart then you already have a darned good tune.

Wow, gotta bonafide Marauder explosion going on here in central CT!

:banana2:Congrats on your new toy? Where'd you find it?

Between you and mm.owner I've got two other Marauders in town to
keep an eye out for. What color are ya?

There is a true Ford performance shop (although if you know them, the word "shop" is an understatement) in Manchester (Mustangs (http://www.mustangsunlimited.com/Default.asp)
Unlimited (http://www.mustangsunlimited.com/Default.asp)) that may be a little closer to the mark (also in Lawrenceville, GA for you southerners).

Also, think regionally (New England and NY/NJ)...sometimes the trip is
worth it to a "far away" shop/tuner/mechanic. That's whats nice about
being in CT, an hour in any direction and your in another state.

I've had Cromwell Automotive (http://www.cromwellautomotive.com/) do my Super 40's (decent welder, everything straight/clean/painted and lined up with the rear bumper cover). They also have a nice background in hot rods, aren't too expensive, run cars up at Stafford, etc... they just seemed to be plugged into the whole horsepower thing fairly well. May see how they feel about setting up 4:10's for me.

You can look up Bristol Dyno (http://www.bristoldyno.com)(which isn't in Bristol anymore,
but now in East Hartford and associated with another speed shop? I think?)...A friend of mine had his Terminator dialed in by them.

Keep posting and let me (and the community) know what you learn in your journey as well.

I went to J and M before. When I showed up they had a Marauder on the lift and indicated that it was owned by a local employee of an area dealership. They seemed knowledgeable to me. Good web site too. I have been going to Gaunt's Performance in Agawam, MA. It is local for me and being only 2 miles away it is great to check in on the work. At least for me it is good. Does anyone have the latest count on the MM in the 35/40 mile radius of Hartford? Put me down for 25miles away. I work in downtown, so on week days ground zero for the MM.

Picking up the MM Friday. Black 03, Kook's full exhaust, so you'll hear it long before you see it. :cool4: It's a CT car, from Cheshire. I too work in Hartford, so the MM will be sneeking around the city often.
08 is gonna be a great year, i can feel it. :coolman:

J&M are quite proficient in all American cars, not just GM. They specialize in Fords actually.....

Heard the same thing about J&M as FormulaMarauder and courtmashall.

Helluva thing...guess leave the "Corvette" part off and it's a little easier to fathom...

I've heard a rumble here and there about Jannetty Racing (http://www.jannettyracing.com/index.shtml) out in Waterbury.
