I am not one to brag, but I can't be modest any longer... I have owned my Marauder for 2 years and though I have owned plenty of nice cars with custom wheels and lotsa bling, I can honestly say that this car makes me feel like a celebrity. I have been getting thumbs up from other drivers, people asking me about the car constantly and people making comments like, "THAT'S THE CAR I WANT", "YOU'RE CAR IS BAD ASS"and "DAMN ,THAT'S A SWEET RIDE" just to name a few. Just tonite for an example, It has rained every day for about 2 weeks here in S. Florida and the weather today was pretty nice, so after work I washed my car and then stopped for gas. I went inside and paid for my gas and as I walked out, there was a guy with a women walking ahead of me, as he passed my car he turned and said " NOW, THATS A CAR" I just smiled and proceeded to get in my car and fire it up. Just after the beast came alive and the flowmasters stopped rumbling, I notice another guy standing outside my pasenger door. I lowered my window and he asked me what kind of car it was, I proudly said "Mercury Marauder" He just just shook his head and said "I WISH I HAD ONE OF THESE" As I rolled up my window I just smiled and thought to myself, of all the people in the world, I belong to a very exclusive club, and even when I have had a bad day at work or had a fight with my girlfriend, I can get in my beloved Marauder and forget about all my problems.

Well, as I said I don't like to brag, but in life there are few things that bring only joy and this car falls in to that category, without a doubt I am a lucky guy.

You hit it right on the head! You never see this from Camry owners. Over the weekend I had a guy in a 4Runner ask me if it was a real Marauder. I showed it to him and he didn't know they made four colors. All I heard was "wow" and "cool" from him. It felt great!

Heck, with as clean as your Marauder is I am NOT surprised.

It is raining as I type this and it has been getting on my nerves that every time I wash the Marauder it rains within hours.

My interior is spotless so I feel good on the inside. LOL

I have to agree, your ride does out shine most others. The only shine I know that comes close is........Water.

I love reading these kinds of write-ups. Makes me know my feelings for this car are shared by others.

I like the comments, too. Seems since I've moved to Vero (2 town north of where I was), the car has become a bit of a local celebrity. People say "I see that car everywhere!"

It's fun!!!

I had several guys from work asking, "Is it fast?"
I would reply, "you want to sample the goods"
As I reached in my pocket, for the keys.
I learned that from my "Brotheren from Detroit"
I sure miss their presents here.

I love mine, too. It just needs a bath from all of the rain that we had as of late.

I love my Marauder too. I love the big car ride but with power to back it up. I had the same complaints as most about the lack of low end power and the need for even more horses to beat all small ricer cars, but its nice to know there are mods that can be done. Regardless if I eventually get mods or not and assuming I can finish making the payments due to the stealership, then I'll keep this car forever, even if I have to wax it, baby it, and start it up once a week under a car cover in someones barn while I drive a daily driver hybrid or electric car that hovers and flys and gas is like $50 a gallon in the year 2050. (Only reason I'd get rid of this car is if they bring the Marauder back just as is but this time stock supercharged pumping out 450+ horsepower (with a big block crammed in, just kidding). Or maybe with some new technology to bring back roomy comfortable 4 door cars with trunk space but still get lots of power and mileage (a hybrid? runs on water or on hydrogen if hydrogen got cheap? something high tech to avoid the common downfalls of larger cars that led to thier almost demise in the 60s/70s)

What every one has said is true, to own and drive a Marauder, to me feels like an honor. To know that they were made for such a short period of time and to my little town of Apopka Fl well I have not seen one yet. In Orlando yes.

OK fine, I have to throw my 2 cents in. I've had my Marauder for 2 days now and can't keep the grin off of my face. It gets looks EVERYWHERE and gets a healthy dose of questions wherever I go. Its like owning a superfast tuxedo. The car is equipped with the full Kook's treatment, so the roar is enough to startle anybody. Love it. This is a car I have wanted since 2002, but no way could afford it. Here it is late 07 and I have a low mile, ultra-clean black MM. Couldnt ask for anything more.

I have had mine for three years this month and when you slide into the seat, fire it up and push on the pedal the smile always comes back. While it's not the fastest off the line I can break the tires and when I come down a ramp onto the interstate I know I will never have a problem merging. Got the thumbs up from a M5 the other day and got to roll with a Z06 for about a 1/2 mile a few days before that. Don't think that would happen in the Mrs. Maxima. It's an honor to belong to the MM club.

even though i rag mine out more than i upkeep it, i couldnt agree anymore with you guys. im not a big fan of the Lotus, but the other night, i was going side by side with one@100 and we took turns speeding up and slowing back down before he had to exit lol.

oh and you know that Cadillac commercial where they say, "Does it return the favor?" The Marauder def does! :banana2:

If I were to sell mine at 19k I'd make a pretty good profit..........forget the profit, I'm keeping the car:D.
