I can no longer wait for BFG to get off there arses and make our rear tires. Plus I hate being a slave to their whims.
Anyone think I'll have a problem going with a 255/55/18? A tiny bit bigger, but that's what we want anyway, right?
I was researching it on Tire Rack and the Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport sounds pretty good. Same price as the BFGs too.

Yokohama Geolandar H/T-S G052 (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Yokohama&tireModel=Geolandar+H%2FT-S+G052&partnum=555HR8GEOHTS&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes&place=16)has good ratings for a truck all-season tire. If you don't have a Xcal2 you should pick one up so you can adjust your revs per mile since your speedo will be reading slower than what your actually going at 60mph.

255/55/18 on the rear with OEM size on the front works fine and causes no problem with traction control. Have been running them for last couple years. It keeps the size difference between front and rear well within the range that the computer accepts as normal and tolerates.

I'm going to do the same thing but looking at Toyo Proxes S/Ts in that size. Research on this site has shown no adverse effects with this small size difference. The speedo difference (less than 1mph) isn't really worth messing with either. In fact my current speedo is off by 1mph (according to OBD2) the other direction so putting on these tires will put my speedo spot on.

Tried them. They are VERY skittish on the rear. Sidewall has lots of flex.
Also stay away from the Falken STZ/04, I had them and did not like them at all. They were DANGEROUS.

Hmm, those were the tires on the MM that preceded the Blue One?
My problem is, still, that all 4 tires have to be the same brand...not much of a choice there...

Some members including myself have been very happy with Nitto 420S in a 255/55/18 on the rear.
Great tire at the right price.

This is very important, of all the choices out there many of them are going to have flexible sidewalls that cause handling issues on our cars.
It's going to make experimenting hard.

So, no one's had any experience with the Bridgstones?
Where are the Nitto's made and do you get them through Tire Rack? I didn't see them.
