Yes he does. I know, I can't wait until my kit is on and I start running all the Z06's here in town.

Not to sound to chauvinistic or anything but if i were driving that vette i woulda had the gas to the floor and side step the clutch when i run it.
But who cares really , i won:up:

opps sorry for the wrong forum..

She was actually trying to in and out of traffic to catch me at the light. that when i slowed to oblige her. they also seemed to have a yellow truck pulling a beautiful 69 pro streeter and a white vette in tail..musta been going to a car show in either pa or somewhere in cecil ..
But maaaan it was fun:burn:

Why would you post such a story? You could have killed someone or even yourself. When people do these things to these cars they should be responsible about them and keep it on the track! Shame shame shame.... oh wait, I was sounding like I grew up or something. Good job man I can't wait to do that myself. Keep those stories coming!!! :D

I had the pleasure of showing my rear bumper off for a while to a Chrysler 300 SRT-8 after he egged me on for about a mile. Finally got a nice open stretch of highway that was pretty much empty, after staying about 5 car lenghts ahead of the SRT-8 I just wavied by as the speedo reached 130 and was still climbing lol. Needle went past 140 for the first and probably last time ever lol.

Wow, a ZO6 kill is something.
I tried one with my mild, bolt on N/A car.
He went by me like I was tied to a tree:o

Glad you had a S/C!

Kudos,

Oh to have 3.55 gears again. Try the same trick with 4.10s and results may vary.

Whoever was driving the Z06 must not have known much about driving since it should have worked you over pretty good.....0-60 in < 4 seconds just doesn't add up to a Marauder kill IMHO???

My brother has a '06 C6 and it is pretty strong......Not sure my Marauder would take him but it would make him think twice...I hope??

Dom.....I read your post and was worried you might have gotten religion or something until......you snapped out of it!!:D

Is it the Z06 or just the base C6?

A C5 Z06 is just as fast as a regular C6. Now a C6 Z06 would make quick work of a S/Ced Marauder.

The C6 Z06 is what I'm talking about.....Never liked the looks of the C5 cars....PERIOD!!!:argue:

Mark didn't say what model and I guess our MM's with a blower would take a C5.......I think someone had a video of this at the drag strip??

Nahhhhhhhhh, not always, that depends on the Marauder........I have beaten two new C6 ($78K) Z06's both on the street and spanked them really bad. (oops did I say street...:shake:) In SW FL, there is another built motor, D1SC Marauder (a friend) that are well known with the Vette crowd. We have taught them some serious respect with our Extreme Marauders:beer:.

MarauderMark, JET, Cruztaker, and Merc got some well deserved Marauder respect from the Corvette boys three years ago (October 2004) at Mason-Dixon Dragway in Maryland. The Northern Virginia Mustang Club invited the Capital Area Marauders (CAM) and some Corvettes out for a night of fun. Barry ran his best N/A time on this night.

The corvette guys were coming over to check timeslips because they didn't quite believe what their eyes were telling them. It was a terrific night!! :2thumbs:

Way to go, Mark with that monster of yours. Hope to see you around CAM for some of the meets soon. :woohoo:

I'm not on the Chebby side by any means and everyone will admit that racing is as much the driver as the vehicle especially when you get to "Fire Breathing" cars!!!:bows:

Here are some published numbers for various vettes...ironically from a Ford club in Iowa!!

2001 Chevrolet Corvette C5-R 3.5 10.3
2001 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 4.6 13.0
2001 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe 4.8 13.1
2002 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 4.1 12.5
2002 Chevrolet Corvette (Lingenfelter 427 twin turbo) 1.97 9.24
2003 Chevrolet Corvette (50th Anniversary) Manual, 4.9 13.4 (R&T Aug. '02)
2005 Chevrolet Corvette C6 4.2 12.5 (chevrolet.com)
