Without a doubt the two most useful purchases I have made for my Marauder
would be Meguiars Quick Detailer and Baja Sol's Original California Car Duster .
Black cars by their nature look the best when they are clean but look the worst when they are not . The use of these two products not only keeps these cars looking pristine but saves you from constant washings . Just thought I would pass along a couple products that live up to their hype.:D

I agree. I always have the Car Duster for black cars. And the Quik Detailer saves me much time and water.

Also have the California duster, but hesitate to use it. Would rather rince it off and dry. I purchased the heavy duty rubber mats from FMC, I think they are great. I kept the original MM mats in the original wrapper.

Use the duster. It works really really really well. Just be sure the car is cool, or you'll get parafin on the car the first time.

I agree use the duster it will save you
gobs of time. It simply works and no scratches at all ! Wetting a car puts the
burden on you to remove every waterstain it creates, pick up your trunk lid for water spot heaven !

Saves a lot of time waxing

Maybe I should put on a vinyl trunk top! Probably be cheaper and easier than having the flunky paint re-done!

I would never dry a car when it's been wet without being washed with some sort of car soap. Too much of a risk of swirling around dust and dirt that hasn't been removed into the paint. The car duster is a miracle and a half for a black car, as is the Quick Detailer. You can also use the Quick Detailer for clay bar lube when you run out.

How about a California water blade? I never wash without it

Dr Caleb

Yup. Waterblade and a genuine sheepskin chamois for those difficult curves such as the front end and in the doors.

But if it's just dusty - duster, and for a few waterspots - quick detailer.

Always remember . the more time you spend washing and waxing the less time you have to drive . Always look for products that will save you time not those that require more of it.

But I like the time I spend washing and waxing! Almost as much fun as driving, and better for the environment.

Dry the car with a leaf blower.

Thats what they are for.

Get a water blade too. Trust me, you won't be sorry. The thing works great. I am going to get another one so my girlfriend can help me wash my car!

glad someone took the advice Petrograde , I have had my car for two months now and it looks so good that I haven't had to wax it yet !

The Water Blade I have mixed emotions on... It does good on all the other cars except the MM. I don't like that it leaves little "skip" marks sometimes. Also, it seems as if it makes the paint hazy when done. I find it easier to just shammy the whole car down. Yet to try compressed air, and I have a air compressor in the garage...

I just can't bring myself to buy a leaf blower for the sole purpose of drying my car. My feeelings have been known to change though....

Don't use it in the sun or when the body of the car is hot. Only use it in the garage or when the car has been in shade/cover for some time.

After waiting the agonizing 2 days to dry, it left a little parafin on the car. The car was in the sun. I don't have a garage yet. So, I used the Duster either in the morning, or in the evening. It works fine now.

I never left mine out... In fact, I left it in the wrapper bag and slipped it into the pouch for the longest time. Well, at least till the little bag gave it up. But yes, you must use this thing in the shade while the body is cool. Most anything you do to the paint you'll need these kind of conditions.
