on a 2004 grand marquis what part of the mod needs to be done? I heard ford did a lot of the mods since the original j-mod post.

Well, it's all within the valve body. They're accumulator springs that you can fiddle around with if you want it to shift much, much firmer. I had this done in my '95 Vic and am considering doing it again for the MM.

Jerry did post here a while ago that not all of the original mods are necessary as some were adopted by Ford, but I don't know that he ever listed which.
