I'm installing a M-7195-AOD pan today. The pan didn't come with a gasket so I assume I re-use the factory gasket. It doesn't quite fit on one side. The gasket hangs over on one corner. Is this ok or should I have purchased a different gasket?

I'm not sure you can use the AOD/AODE pan. I got the 4r70 pan from Ford Racing and it fit perfectly and I re-used the gasket as instructed.

It should be OK, just need to plug that extra hole.

They discontinued that pan, so this is our only option.

It's back together with no leaks. Thanks for the help. It took 7 quarts.

About 3 years ago, my local Ford dealer did a fluid & filter change on my transmission. The lolipop was still in the pan. Would they re-install the pan with the lolipop or did they screw me?

Sorry, I didn't know. I guess I got lucky before they went away.

Found my receipt and it was just a flush, not a fluid and filter change.
