I haven't seen much discussed about bras or molded mudflaps nor have I seen any in the member photo's. First, does anyone know if a bra or molded mud flaps are available. Second, what do they look like on the car? I could see a tasteful, small, molded mudflap helping to minimize road spray and rocks but if it looks bad I'd go the clear 3M tape route. A bra sure would be helpful during some of the buggier months or long rides.

Any thoughts?

I've got the GM Molded Stone Guards installed on the front, and they really look custom-made for the car. Small, Neat, and cool-looking! The Rear Wheel Flare for our wider tires means the GM models won't fit, and there doesn't appear to be a specific set for the MM.

Your Ford or Mercury Parts Department might just have them in stock, and can install them in less then an hour of Shop time.

Good Hunting!

WJ,

Interesting, I'll pick up a set. Would the CV mudflaps be any different?

MB - Good Question! If they Fit, that's cool! The CV's Front Fender Well would seem to match up pretty well with the GM, so I'd say give it a go, and save the dough!

"If the Flap Fits......wear it!"

MarauderBoy,

Check www.xpel.com/paint/applications.html if you are interested in a clear "bra" ... I have been bugging them and they are supposed to come out with a Marauder kit soon... A few more calls and e-mails wouldn't hurt though...:D

Hi M-Boy,
I actually took a set of the molded ones for a Grand Marq (from my dealer's wall - in bag) and held them up to my MM. The fronts fit perfect, but the rears are not designed for our bumper. Sounds like you should wait for the later version that will fit.

Jeff.

Got the molded GM flaps, installed the fronts and yes they work great. The rears have U-shaped top which could be trimmed. I will trim off the outboard part of the U using a dremmel or knife. The faps should fit then. I could then exchange them for 03MM ones when and if they come out as the holes will line up.
Good luck!
