Yeah single car accident got drunk and let my girl drive me home. For a split second it rained enough for her to spin out and hit the guardrail a few times. I hit something i think it was the side air bag. Passenger doors don't open I crawled out window. Still sobering up and gonna go to yard in marn to talley the damage. The trunk is fubar spare tire even came out of the trunk. Even tho I have much work done I hope it's totaled cause it may never drive the same. :bigcry: Please give me a few days to calm down before I answer questions.
Sorry to hear about your mishap, but I assume that you both walked away OK, and that's the important thing.

yes walked away only I have bump from b pillar i think. Still soberin up and not fuly comprehending what all is happened. Good news is I did have rental car insurance. badd thing is my Mazda is 300 and some odd miles away(cleveland).
I was in Cleveland tonight, we had the same weather, felt the MM hydroplane a time or two. The clouds just opened up.

It was dry then out of nowhere a light sprinkle. Spun out then dry again(except the unknown puddle leaking under the car) just as cops showed up. It was a sharp turn and she paniced when it walked left and hit brakes real hard. Prabably gonna get checked out cause as I sober up I feel my head hurting more. Maybe it's the crash or the thought of me losing the car. This feeling sucks.
I'm guessing whiplash. That looks like it was pretty violent. I'd recommend getting checked out. The sooner the better, ER probably quieting down about now. Better safe than sorry, before the pain gets worse. Your insurance should cover it. Good Luck.

OMG...I thought my accident was bad...You will be surprised to know that within the rocker panel is a 1/4 tubualr piece off steel, that re-inforces the cabin. It is NOT that way in P71's or production GM"s or CV's. These cars are designed to take a hit. Glad you and you G/F is okay, but honestly, I'm not surprised that you are. These cars are truely unlike any other!
Glad your ok and you should get your self checked out. The car is done, but dont look back as that can be replaced.

Allan, it is most unfortunate about the car - as others said it can be replaced. I'm glad to hear you and your g/f are OK.

Looks like the Marauder did what it was supposed to do. It gave itself up inorder to protect you and your girlfriend. Just be glad you didn't hit any other cars which would only made a bad situation worse. Get yourself better, settle with the insurance company, try to get the car back (if they don't want an arm and a leg) if only to have some spare parts for yourself or to supply the Marauder crowd with some good parts, and then find yourself another Marauder.

Just got back in from er. After cat scans, xrays and 2 iv's i am released. They gave me vicotin and put me on 24 hrs quarters. sucked I had to take it to work to prove I went. Yeah I kinda sat there and played what if and come to the conclusion what happened happened. chances of me getting another mm is slim. Mazda 6 will be the main car till i can regain my finances. Rental is a Black Ford 500.
As for parts once I find out what impound it went to I'll start snatching the XCAL2, COP, full size spare, motorcraft filter, and K&N maybe if it isn't smashed in. I'll make a for sale thread once that is completed. Till then nobody has dibs. I'll try and make a trip out there to get pictures.

Ouch man I know how you feel,I had similar incident happen back in Feb.Glad you both walked away good.Car questionable! For me my car was rebourn,I only took a front shot.

Passenger side doors are basicly pushed in and even the rear seat is buckled in. Hood is bent, Front support beam was in trunk with rear tire. trunk is half a foot shorter than stock. Only possible way the car wouldn't be totaled is if they found another mm and swapped vin plates. I was only able to snatch the xcal and send it into stock mode. Removing the intake and coils were "Strictly Forbidden". That spare tire is comming with me next trip. I tried to grab it but my back and arm started to hurt.

Its possible that the civic with its slowness and FWD would have prevented the accident in the first place.

I'm very glad to hear you got thoroughly checked out. Tte MRI is most important, and at this point, concern for anything else but damage to your noggin, is secondary.
From the look of those photos I'd say your MM's a goner, but there are others, and you have to realize, being in the MM prolly saved you and G/F's lives.

I know. I owed it my life. I was on that side it hit. As much as I want another one I'm prabaly done. I found 2 total. same year and color but cost a lil more and 30K more on odo. 04 sb was like $20+. After I get my other car back next weekend i'm gona combine that and trade in for a legacy gt.

Finnaly the insurance company found the car as well. Going in a few to colect my items. That spare isn't mine I borrowed it from someone. they still have 4 tires that originaly held the car up untill the impact. Coils are chalked up as a loss and intake did get cracked. I'll have a list of items once I get back. Cain't wait till i get my mazda back on friday. Never had the ccdj option.

Went out there end even tho I had the tools and the stock parts they still said no go. I ended up snatching the spare, floormats, jack, cargo net, 03 owners manual, 03 xcal2 lidio tune(returned stock), the 4.6 dohc badges(same as the ones you see in most of my pictures) and other items that will be later put in a for sale thread. Till they are in that thread it's not likely you will get em in a timely manor. P.S. Looking at the picts i forgot my parking pass:(

I tried to take picts off all the parts but the winter rims were too heavy to lift w/o re injury. Will get an updated list out. I already got use to it. Soonest I can ship anything out is friday hoping insurance will tell me something by then...

Yeah if you look at rear passenger seat...it's pushed in and door handle is also angled. Can't see it from pic. Worts part is the wait from the insurance company. We are both basicly healed.

I really do miss that new 2.5 cat back xpipe setup a week prior. Did see a vortech on ebay but doubt I could get it. Go later today to look at the 05 Legacy GT. I see this as an opportunity to get a summer/winter reliable car since i can't afford to have 2 cars. Legacy GT is to the wrx sti as the mm is to the pre terminator cobra, speed w/o as much of the cop and insurance buthurt.

Does maryland allow you to register "2ndary vehicles"? It keeps the cost down and if you werent using another MM as a daily driver, then it would be a lower rate of insurance. We have our 95 Jeep YJ as a 2ndary vehicle, and dont even have to get it inspected since its out of state.
Are you selling the mazda for sure?

Yeah mm was the original replacement of the mazda but nobody would buy the damn thing. Going to Cockeysville MD to try and get a 05 Legacy GT Limited. Since online car club forums, cragslist and even myspace classifieds had no real buyers. I am trading it in. Luckily it is an 03 auto with 24,000 miles and lots of features.
Did it have a trunk organizer? I need some new lids, I bent mine by putting too much weight in the trunk on top of them.
only thing i had was full size spare and cargo net...
