Good kill I don't know why Impala's and Caprices love racing MM's. I even raced one with $15'000+ worth of work but as you all know that didn't matter my trilogy smoked him by over 5 car lengths..

There must of been something wrong with that SS.... Not to knock on the MM but stock for stock the SS should have a hold on ANY MM as long as its in good running condition.. taking into concideration the Impala's already have quite a few years on us..

not many ss are in good condition or on stock size wheels and tires. Out of maybe 10 ss i see 2 of them were well kept. Those 2 were at the track.
fools never learn. congrats.

Don't get too worked up over it. There are plenty of 11 AND 10 second Impalas out there. There will be a 9 second one at SSHS7. If ya really want to race, come to Commerce (GA) where it will be legal. And safe.

Very true. Not too many stock ones are 11 and 10 second or 9 second cars though.
Nice when a big Impala gives a Corvette a run for it's money.

But do those 11, 10, 9sec SS's all have the original LT1 or do they have an LS1/2?

They are no longer stock at those times, 'original' might apply to the block, so what?

Nice kill. There's two SS' here in town, one is stock and the other has exhaust and an intake. Both fell to the demise of my MM.

I pnly know of 1 Impala to EVER have an LS1 conversion done and the conscus was that for the little gain, it isn't worth. there is SO much you can do with the LT1. Like I have said before, i have had the pleasure to watch a slightly bored out LT1 Impala run 12.1 NA on drag RADIALs. it was full weight too, no weight removal. Stock for stock, both in good shape they are pretty close, to deny that and think the Marauder is going to kill and equally modified Impala it comes up to is just silly. They have how many years on your cars?

With only exhaust I can hang with a Daytona Ed. Dodge Charger and have dusted 3 SS's. So I fully agree. Besisdes drivers do make difference in what ever car that is being driven.
Thats my :twocents: worth!
