View Full Version : An interesting find on MM's with Moonroofs

While at Seymour it was discovered that MM's with moonroofs have a difference in the compass. The compass spells out the direction IE: North instead of N,, Southwest instead of SW etc. Has anyone else noticed this? Is this a function that is programmable by the computer?

Don't all 2004's have the short overhead console? Do all 2004s read like that?

Your right. I have a moonroof and my compass spells out completely the direction.

It also doesnt have the homelink house which means i dont know how to program the **** thing :mad2:


The 04's w/o sunroof has the long one, i remember that Jason's SB doesnt have a sunroof and it had the long overhead console, i have the sunroof and its short and does spell out the whole word. And has no homelink house.

WRONG oh great FKIA,,we had a few '04's at Seymour and those without moonroofs did NOT spell it out

exactly..i test drove a 04 DTR w/out a sunroof at a local dealer w/ a short overhead that said exactly what my 03 says

The answer is very simple, some MM's were marketed directly for woman. lol Just the reason why my wife wants a black one with a sunroof and the few I have seen with women driving them all had sunroofs lol.

The moonroof cars have Town Car overhead consoles. Marauders with real factory moonroofs have a VIN starting with "2MHHM". The first H designates incomplete vehicle.

My homelink buttons learne dhow to open my garage door and how to turn on a couple lamps inside the house. Nanny Nanny Boo Boo!!:poke:

Wow!!! Am I understanding this correctly? You have an 04 with Moon roof and no home link? and it does spell out the direction completely?

Mine is an 04 with Moonroof and has the homelink, and the compass spells out completely.

Mine is an 04 with Moonroof and has the homelink, and the compass spells out completely.

No no i have the homelink, but the little house with the red light i do not have. The manual says to look at the homelink house with the red light and watch that for the flashes and all to set it, but that is not there. I know why, simply because 04 with sunroofs were "incomplete" models.
