Fun with a BMW M roadster...

Came across an M Roadster on the way home from Moroso last night. Was driven my a 40-ish year old woman with a BMW hat on. We beat the snot out of the cars for about 20 miles. Finally we stopped at a light. She's an avid driver, local event trained (like our SVTOA) and drives at the Sebring events.

She wouldn't run from a light but her car pulled well from speed. I had little more than she did, but the M is a fast car.

I looked it up when I got home. 3197 lbs, 325HP, 240TQ. Tested 0-60 in 4.7 and tested 1/4 at 13.6. MSRP in the 51K range.

Good thing I have the SC now! She'd not have respected me NA!

It was fun to play with a high-class car and a good driver!

I won't call it a 'kill' out of respect, but like I said, she wouldn't run me from a light although we had about 6 opportunities!

Said she loved the sound of my exhaust and SC. I love this car...:D

i was following a new m6 convertable the other day, he punched it , as i was right behind him. i hit it and started to catch up slowly! i was amazed the car was pulling that good! that a difference a intercooler makes! we finely stop at the light and got a nod from the yuppie! i wanted to run him again , but to much traffic. damn! next time

Nice kill Rich. A boss here at work also has an M roadster (they're quite rare) he told me you had to order one specially which not too many people did, that's why you see more M coupe's than roadster's on the road. They do move though!

Nice kill Rich. A boss here at work also has an M roadster (they're quite rare) he told me you had to order one specially which not too many people did, that's why you see more M coupe's than roadster's on the road. They do move though!

I don't think your boss is telling you the truth. My dad has an M6 convertibe (LOVE IT!) and I believe he just stopped by and found one, to my knowledge he didn't order it. I have to go to a BMW dealer today so I'll ask and find out how rare it really is. I haven't seen another since we got it about 2 months ago.

M roadster is the M version of the z4 basically. Most of the time you see them in the hard-top version though

A friend of mine works at a BMW dealership and when I drop by occasionally, I've seen several M roadsters sitting in the lot. He tells me they didn't sell too many of them due to lack of demand and had to offer rebates to about half of them.

the one on the bottom is the one i was chasing.
some one told me that they make a m7? is that true?

The one on the bottom is what my dad has, but with a black interior. I do not believe they make an M7, but there is something special out there that uses a different name. Someone on here found one that runs down the 1320 in 12.9 or something. A V12 7 series will come out in the next year or so. I think there is one out now, but I'm talking a newer one or something. I knew 03SlickVic was talking about the M6 not the Z3 looking things.
