I had a 04' Silver Birch and sold 2 years ago....been dying to get back on track since....found a 2003 born on date 8/02 Canadian built. Black with 74,750 miles....interior would be mint, exterior good, clean and strong, all stock except spoiler and trunk organizer. One owner. Test drove today.

That's a lot of money for a car that has 74k on it. The dealer I bought mine from, had one exactly like mine a week after I bought it, except the other one had 80k on it and they were only asking $12.9.

Ran a carfax for you: came back clean and one owner with one exception that car was sold at auction 09/13/07. This should not be an issue except maybe the dealer knows nothing of the car's history.

Mileage at time of auction was 74569.

Sometimes buying a car with mods isn't necessarily a good thing. ;)

I am going to go in and low-ball, maybe $12,000 and see if he comes up for air.
I think anything over $13,000 is too much.

Buying a car with mods means the owner was usually on it. If you buy a car with mods buy one with the least mileage possible.
I would call that a strong but not necessarily true generalization. I have friends with Bullitt Mustangs. Some are DD and some are not. Most have mods. And I can think of no correlation between those that have modded their Bullitts, and those that haven't as to how they drive their cars. Some get on them and the car isn't modded. Some have mods, but baby them all the way everyday... And finally, I know of one with low miles, but they are all 1/4 mile shots. Each car is a reflection of the individual that owned and drove it. And should be judged accordingly, as and individual.:o
