Whats Happening

Has anyone experienced the scangauge II going blank or seeing
charactors that are not right.
While driving to work this morning after about 1/2 hour I noticed the
screen was blank I pressed the button with the red circle around it
and the screen lit back up but it kept shutting down after about 10 seconds, I scrolled thru the menu and then it stayed lit but the water
temp read 197 jWT.

Sounds strange, e-mail me your name/address and will ship you out a new one with a return label to send back that one that sounds like it has a defect.
