I got a call today from Vortech, and they have agreed to sell me a kit the same as my S Trim kit only using a Paxton head unit, this is a self contained oil system for the the S/C so there is no need to tap the oil pan, many people have fears of this, I my self have done hundreds of Vortech kits and have never had a issue, but here is what I have to offer, a Paxton polished unit that has a base pulley size as the S Trim of 3.61 this is about 10 PSI, this head unit with a smaller pulley can go to 650 RWHP, I have now contracted a company in CA to mandrill bend the 3" inner cooler pipes and a 4" inlet pipe I will have these powder coated and I will have one kit in stock and will guaranteer delivery in 1 week, the kit will have detailed pictures and instructions, I am a small shop, in the past I have relied on other company's to supply the tubing for my kits, and this is hard to maintain the quality control I want, so yes I have had delays in kits, but this will be corrected. The paxton unit as the S Trim is a very good S/C, these blowers, are not gear driven, this means there a quiet SC, with gear driven blowers they generate false knock, this is dealt with by zeroing out the knock sensor retard table in the computers PCM, that is why I like Vortech, the knock sensor retard table is there and works. Yes you have to tap the pan, so now you, the Marauder owners have a choice, and that is what I have been here for to help any way I can, I try and provide quality upgrades for this awesome car, its not always easy as a small company, so with that said here is a offer for a car, to have this kit installed, for a drastically lowered labor and parts cost, The Paxton kit will run a bit higher than the S Trim but again its a choice I am trying to provide to you. I am now waiting on Vortech to give me a final price, and then I can set our price, the kit will include the new GT super pump 39 lb injectors and a 90 MMLM, and a Xcal 2.

Nice option Dennis.

If you get a lot of potential buyer's would you try to offer this kit on your website.

Wish I'd have known this a few months ago. I might have have been PAXTON #1.

Good looking out, Dennis. I'm sure it will be a very nice kit.

Wow, what a surprise! Did Vortech bought out Paxton?

How is the compressor wheel driven in these Paxton self-contained units, if not by gears? Is it belt or those ballls that they used in the earlier models? If they used the balls, are they prone to slipping?

What CFM are these Paxtons rated for?

Paxton has been owned by Vortech for a while now

The goal is CHEAP,offer the blower in Satin.
With a polished unit so close to the fill plug for the coolant, its almost better, IMHO to have Satin

Paxton is a seperate facilaty, but there in the same building as Vortech, the Novi 1220

NOVI-1200

The NOVI-1200 . It contains highly advanced computer design gears that feature an optimized helical profile, which allow for near silent operation.

Well Martin there is no better sound than your Black, FA18 launching, the point I am making is the Novi 1200 is a very quiet blower and does not give false knock.

When I ordered my Vortech S Trim, I asked them to make it extra noisy. I like scaring the neighborhood kiddies!!

Dennis, experiment with flipping the stock fan shroud over and reusing it.
I did this on my KB car with 4 cable ties and its rock solid.
Obviously you would make some kind of bracket, but keep CHEAP at the top of your mind and the kits will fly off the shelf.

Yes, and rather than relocate the PCM box, I simply extended it's wires.

The brackets are CAKE. I can show you how I fabbed ones for an install the didn't have 'em.

I am looking for a test car, the labor for the install would be 500.00 the dyno tune would be FREE
and if you have a Xcal already the kit would be 4700.00

Tempting. I'll be in Orange Park next weekend, but not for long. Is it okay to drop in for a visit when I'm there?

I'd be interested as well, have my Xcal already. My car is stored from December till April, so you could have it to "test" for a while.
Let me know...

Try quoting his posts and they come up as tables? Why is that? Does that give you a clue?

If I try using the quick reply, and then click submit, the little whirlly icon whirls, but the message never uploads. The screen never, in fact, changes at all. I could leave it "thinking" for 20 minutes and the post would never be submitted. Maybe I should be PM'ing you with this rather than doing it on this thread? You are more than welcome to log in as me, anytime!

Yes, please PM me. This is a new issue to me but let's see if we can solve it. Thanks. I couldn't delete the spaces when I quoted you either.

I didn't notice that, Marty. Thanks. I'll see how that plays into the issue.
