I want to report a "Good Dealer". We have, as a community, experienced "Bad Dealers" and they get a fair amount of coverage.

But, we have also experienced Dealers who are empathetic to Marauders and do a good job on our cars.

Wray Ford, in Bossier City, has employed many of the service writers, managers and mechanics that suddenly became available when our only LM dealer folded up his operation.

Today I took "Silverback" in to have the front end aligned, using "Car Fixers" specs, and new tires mounted on the front.

I talked to the service manager and he was very cooperative. He called in the tech and verified that he would/could do this alignment and give me a print out. When the tech said, "sure no problem, but could I come back Monday"?

The Service Manager said "this is not good, I want you (the tech) to align this car and have it ready by close of business today". The tech said "yes sir".

Then they gave me a courtesy ride home.

How cool is that?

That's good to hear. People usually only comment on bad experience with a dealer. Thanks for taking time out to write about a good dealer. All members should do the same so we know what dealers we can go to.

Good news with that Pat. Our local L/M dealer closed their doors in Sept., so I have to find either a new L/M dealer or take it to Ford, which is closer.

I'd just love to be near a good dealer to comment on. My local dealership's service department is more or less inept. (More) Others have closed down:

Varsity Ford (gone)
S&C Ford (gone)
South City Ford (gone)

The only one even remotely close is a dealership in Redwood City. But that's over half an hour away, so no ride back home.

Serramonte Ford is the culprit. Watch out for tools being left in your car

Sorry to go off topic. I'm glad you found a good dealer, makes me think they're not quite as hard to find as a pot of gold. :)

The problem with a good review of a dealership is that there is usually someone who works there that will do something to you that will result in a bad experience and then your left wondering if the good review was worth it.

also good people leave and bad people take their place.

I had this happen to me at a Subaru/Jaguar Dealership.

I bought my car becuase of the excellant staff there, never had a problem but then suddenly 4 good people left and the bad people started showing up. They screwed around with me and now I have nothing good to think about them. I like Jaguars, they are the only local Dealership, but I don't want to go back there.

Anyway it is good to see more dealership reviews good and bad, it just needs reminding that these things change constantly.
