A local shop MIGHT be able to scrounge up a set or two of Stock Rear Tires.

Their pricing is $161.99 per tire.

Is there enough interest here for me to have them do this?

Not sure. All shipping would be between the buyer and them.

I am just gauging interest to see if I should poke them with a stick :D

They alrady have 1 set, and they are spoken for. They siad they MIGHT be able to get some more from another location.

:dunno:

Hopefully, they will find a Semi Trailer full of 'em!!

That price is ridiculous for a tire that doesn't last more that 7k with normal use.

We really need to show BFG and move onward and upward.

The KDW is a lousy tire. Period.

You are honorable Stevo for helping some find what they really feel they need however. ;) :bows:

There ARE options out there. However you must be willing to mix and match unless your wallet suggests moving on to all four in one shot.

The oem rears used to sell for as little as $106 each on occation.

This car will outlast the need for the KDW.
Make your move now.
You won't be sorry.;)

one of the reasons i wanted OEM was because of the traction control issue. i have an 04. i just bought a xcal2 so maybe i can do something on there to correct the tire size if i change. i dont know anything about it yet. i want to retain the rake. what do you suggest?

No software in the world will correct tire size issues. The TC is not adjustable within the EEC.

You can however match tires really close, and retain the rake.

I have an '03, no TC here, and no need for it as well.

There are folks onsite that have done it on '04s. You may have to scout around a bit to find the posts.

No Threadjack.... if you can get a local retailer to get a few sets in, do, and post up!

It seems folks are ALWAYS asking where to get stock rears from.

Just an FYI, I wound up picking these tires up about a week ago fro my 04' Silver Birch:

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Goodyear&tireModel=Eagle+ResponsEdge

I used the following sizes (THERE ARE NO TRACTION CONTROL/ABS ISSUES):

FRONTS: 245/45R18

REARS: 255/55/R18

Best choice I ever made. There is a def improvement having the extra rubber on the road. Handling improved drastically over OEM. Traction improved DRASCTICALY over OEM. Buy this tire combo!!!

Barry is right. There is a guy at work with an '04 GTO, and I did not know that they also use the KDWS as a stock tire and they too do the same thing that ours do, wear like crap. I convinced him to try out the KDW2's and he likes them so far.
