Since I'm new to this site I'm sure this topic has been brought up many times, I apoligize...
But I'm curious.
Is the MM your daily driver?
I bought my MM for a summer daily driver.
In Michigan, it gets a little snowy and there is alot of salt on the roads that I don't want to touch my new gal. I'm sure she's seen alot of salt cause of the miles she's got on her, but I don't want to subject her to any more.
So, she's is going in the garage.
Just wondering if anyone else stores they're MM and what they drive on the side.
I guess this thread is more for peeps that live in cold climates.
I drive a black '96 Lincoln Continetal which is in OK shape. It's showing it's age but still looks good. I bought it brand new in '96 and it's the only new car that I've owned that hasn't gotten stolen.
It has front wheel drive and navigates through the snow pretty good.
My freinds and family ***** at me to get a 4WD truck and I tell them over and over again..
I'M A CAR GUY! I HATE F%$KING TRUCKS!
Anyhow, what do you all drive?

Well, welcome to the club! I would say than for most of us, the MM is a second car but there are still a lot who use it as a daily, especially in the southern states.

Daily driver for me but I do split up the time with my 93 TBird SC. However, the MM is the only one I drive in the limited snow we have here in VA. I try to wash it every chance I get in the winter.

2003 Ford Explorer is my DD now. The MM was the DD until last January.
I could not pass up the deal on the Explorer and it enabled me to put the MM in the Garage. I've only put 4K miles on it since June 06.

MM is my DD, 41k miles (81k total on the odo) in about 22 months of ownership.... I know I know I should be taken out back tared and feathered but I enjoy driving it as the miles can show lol.
Just have to get two new wheels and inspected and my 89 5.0 Mustang will start sharing the mileage to let the M take a breather.

My Marauder is the daily driver. If the occasion comes that there is too bad of a snow this winter and I need to get to work or somewhere, the Bronco will come out.

The Marauder is my DD right now. I don't feel too bad b/c we so rarely see salt on the roads here in NC, and if we do, I try to get it cleaned up ASAP.
I do feel a little bit bad because of the miles I'm putting on the car though (I've owned mine for not quite 11 months and already put 13K on it) but I have neither any place to park a second car other than on the street, nor would it be a good financial decision at the present time. At least it's a fun car to put the miles on... :)

'89 CV. Paid $400 for it 8-04 just two weeks after I bought the Marauder. I drive it 5 days week in the summer and every day from Nov 1 'til the snow is gone, usually April.
No exhaust from just before the H-pipe back, no hub caps, and no problems in 45k miles. The carpet is begining to fall through the floor so this will probably be the last winter for it.

My DD is a 2001 Victory V92C. The MM gets used one day a week when it's time to shop for groceries. Once in a blue moon it rains here and the MM goes out then, too.

both of our MM's are daily drivers. Mine has 75000, one new motor, and hers has 60000. Driven every day, rain, sleet or snow. I am pondering buying something so I can park mine to keep the miles down on the new motor, but its just so fun to drive......

Yep same here, just waiting for the local drag strip to close then I know it's time. Still running the 4x4 tires? lol I am actually scared to get my 4.10 gears installed now with the 3500 stall and run on those tires....just asking for trouble since it's not problem break loose at 40mph with just the road even barely wet while running the 255/55-18 kdw2 lol.

Mine was my DD from the day I bought it until Memorial Weekend this year when it was retired from that job. During that time it racked up about 42,000 miles including 2 Iowa winters. Great all around car, especially in the winter with the right tires.
My plan from the day I got the car has always been to keep it for a long time to come and not to use it for a daily driver. So now I can do that. I have only put abount 1500 miles on it since May.
In May I picked up a 2003 Crown Vic PI as a daily driver. 112,000 miles, Marauder airbox and MAF, '04 ZIP tube, and XCal2 tune from Lonnie at BOC. I am thinking of gears and a proper tune from Lidio, but then again I may just say forget it and drive it.
The Marauder is still a blast to drive, but I want to keep the miles off of it until I can afford the Trilogy, TCE brakes, Kooks long tubes, and full exhaust from Todd at GM. Since it is no longer my DD I don't have to worry about trying to get that done sooner than later and can take my time and do it right.

Welcome to the site.
My DTR is my one and only, current, ride.
I'm pondering a second Daily driver, or maybe making my DTR a second car, but not yet.
If you do park it for the winter, you might want to consider a few warm friendly options for your Marauder. Look around the site there is alot of information about this, winter would be a good time to install something.
Have fun and enjoy the ride.

I put it away when there is salt on the roads, but after a good rain, and I'm sure it gone I'll drive it until there's a threat of salt again. I drive my 95 Cartier TownCar when its salty, the rest of the cars are california cars with no rust, so the fleet of 76 F-series trucks stay home with the 71 LTD.

All year the MM is my DD, thorugh many harsh winters....:)
My daily driver? '70 Ford Fairlane 500 station wagon, but the MM is my wife's daily driver. I've been off this week, so I've been driving the MM. Life is good.
DetroitMarauder,
Can't you be a car guy and still like trucks? I can't wait for the day that I get my '67 Chevy SWB with a big block finished and on the road, and I'd love to own a King Ranch F-150 crew cab.

I work at home, so "daily driver" in any weather is either shoeleather or bicycle.
On occasion I've had my DTR out on snowy/icy roads and every drive, no matter how careful I am, there are moments when the back end slides out a bit. New England back roads are scary because the towns leave big trees growing right up to roadside.

Hi all,
Yep, my Marauder is my daily driver. Of course I live in Pensacola, FL so snow and salt are not a problem. I wish I wasn't racking up the miles like I am, though. Over 96K now.

This ^^^ can't be right. Unless you are spending 18+ hours a day in the car to accumulate at the rate of 1,250 miles per day or 37,600 miles each month for the past 3 months.

Marauder is my DD during all seasons. I've had my share of POS beaters over the years and I'd rather drive what I love no matter what the weather. The wife knows that unless the dog is riding along, we're taking the MM over the Focus wagon especially if the snow is really bad, eh.
