Wow, thanks for posting!
I opted to pass on the cruise up to New Smyrna as well, and was hoping somebody caught it on film (or digitally, as the case may be).
Yep, shoulda gone, would have been the fastest blue out there for sure.

Ha, ha, right !! ..... I was signed up for the New Smyra lap before my plans for MV IV got altered. :o I am pretty sure that you would have been staring at my SS Inserts on this event. Remember, I've got Northern Virginia traffic training. Running with 14 other cars on a wide oval would have been a breeze.

Exactly correct my good man Rick---who was also there for the run.......
-I was behind Al in the SB outside row---and believe me--turning with both hands at 9 and 3 position and the car doesn't want to turn---makes ya bit scared --then--thank goodness by then the turn straighten out for some more pedal---

Yeah, if you didn't mind swapping paint with another member, and by the way the top gear you could be in on that track was 2nd gear, anything higher and you were a gonna.
Yeah, I was there too.

I am sooooo glad somebody has that video. I was in the blue one. I past all of them including the silver one. I must admit he was the toughest one to get to. Considering I started way in the back and had to pass 12 others. It was a absolute blast. Probably not fair to the others, but I have 6 years of cirlce track racing under my belt, and have competed at that track competitively. If anyone has pics at the track, I would be interested in some.

Everyone knows that Blues are loose and ..... "Loose is fast and on the edge of out-of-control". ;) (quote from Days of Thunder).
1/2 turn on the trackbar and a little spring rubber will get you through the turns a little better.

Okay, just so you all know my blue was BONE STOCK all except the superchip, the key to racing in roundy round is simply this, you must drive it in deep with a soft brake pedal, drive in to the point passed OMG I am not going to stick, just then when you reach that point, you will feel the car reach its limits slightly out of control, yet settling nicely into the corner. At that point roll it through the corner easing off the brake. Just about half way through you start to roll (not stomp) back on the gas, just after half way through to 3/4 squeeze that baby wide open and it will set right in and hook up and off you go down the straightaway.

I just wanted to bring back a blast for the past when we all got alone a bit better than we do now. There ain't nothing keeping us from getting back to that great feelling but ourselves. When we make friends because of our Marauder there is nothing to say it can't last forever. I have 12 other friends to share this memory with and nothing is going to change that.

Hi all,
I was one of the Lucky 13, too! As everyone else said it was a blast! You really had to be there. We had a good time driving en mass to the track, on the track, and driving back from the track. In fact, we had a pretty good time in the motel parking lot after we got back talking about it until the wee hours of the morning. :D The day before we had a good time driving en mass to the Gainsville Speedway and back (and some had a great time on the drag strip, too.) I haven't been able to make a Marauderville since but hope to some day. I don't suppose it has been decided where the next Marauderville will be? If you haven't been to a Marauderville event and you get the chance to go you will not regret it! :burnout:

Just don't try to crash the gates to make a run around the track again, your MM is too pretty to be rubbed by the other racers. But I know it will be on you mind...
