Hello, everyone! I'm back!

Yes, it's been a year and a half since I lost my Marauder demo (it got sold before I could make the necessary arrangements myself), but I've got a line on another one and hopefully will be the owner of it by next month.

The last one I drove had a winter wheel/tire package (Dunlop D2 and Dunlop D3 front and rear), with a stagger to mimic the stock set-up, albeit in a 17" sizing, with a TSW 6-spoke aluminum. However, I've forgotten the dimensions and have had no luck yet contacting the owner of that unit to get him to check it out for me.

What have any of you done, for those that drive in the winter? I'm looking for ultimate traction (southern Ontario winters) and value traction above all for the winter. I was happy with the Dunlops as they never gave any problems and the car actually handled decently on them.

Anybody using cop-car wheels and tires in a 16"? Is there any issue with caliper clearance?

Thanks for your help and I'll post pics and etc once I've got this new one in my hands.

Lots of people here were using 16" Steelies with No problem.

IIRC a popular setup was 215/70R16 in the front and 225/70R16 for the rear.

Some folks were running really big rear tires but I can't remember who.

That would probably be Dragcity and I. Vehicle height increased by around an inch, made it easier to get in and out from lol. Followed the idea from Dragcity because we both daily drive our cars and didn't want to scurface traction (tire width) on roads when its not snowing. Other than just taking it easier on acceleration and turns it gives a nice comfy ride.

Dragcity - same tire brand but his rears are 265/70-16

A Marauder is one of those cars that still looks good, or mean with black steel wheels.

I'm looking at Winterforce M&S 16" 215/65 front 225/70 rear.
