Who makes the best Cold Air Intake for the Marauder?

Best in terms of what? Appearance? Performance? Cost?

I've had the Metco tube, JLT, and K&N. I now have a combo K&N (tube) and Steeda (GT500 filter) and am very pleased with this setup. I have never tried the PHP that DR sells.

They were all good; each having benefits & drawbacks.

I would go with the K&N kit, and if you have the $$ for it replace the K&N cone element with the element from the Steeda GT500 kit (part number 281STE100 for somewhere around $50 - $60) I think this setup really makes a difference.

Don't know if the GT500 element fits the JLT or other kits.

Check the Fordnut thread on the element replacement and there is another thread on further insulating intake kits that you might find interesting. Happy modding...:D

The best one for me is the one that doesn't get me in trouble with CARB. K&N for me it is, because I don't know if the other ones are exempt.

Check your smog laws before installing. :)
