Well, ok I know I'm not, but check this out. On a resent trip to Cleveland I was clocked at least 4 times on I-71. I was doing at least 80 mph and in one case over 90 mph! I was never pulled over. I am not complaining mind you. However, I grew up in Ohio and I know all about the Ohio State Troopers, camouflaged by the rolling hills of Ohio, waiting with their itchy trigger fingers to zap someone’s wallet!
And God help you if you are unfortunate enough to be traveling in Ohio, without Ohio plates!!! Like me! I guess fate was smiling upon me that day. I would imagine if any Marauder PI's are going to be built, the Ohio State Troopers will have one or two! BTW ... I remember seeing Black Mustang PI's when I was traveling down I-77 (on my way to Summit Racing! lol) Does anyone know if they still have them?

the Mustangs, but I do know that a lot of cops LUV the Marauders, and I wonder if that might have something to do w/them leaving you alone on the highway. My brother is a cop, and when I told him that I bought a Marauder, he flipped. He couldn't wait for me to bring the car over to his house to show him, and when I did, he got the camera out and started snapping pics of it from every angle. I couldn't believe his reaction because my brother is never enthused about any car I buy. Furthermore, one of the dealers that I went to in order to test drive the Marauder that they had before I bought mine told me that they've sold seven of them this year, and that five out of those seven were purchased by cops. So I think that says it all. I let my brother drive mine, and told him to punch it when we were on the highway, and he said that it's faster than the cops' Crown Vics are(which BTW I suspected).

I was filling up the tank last night and a local PD in a PI stopped, rolled down his window and said: "You gotta mighty sharp car there."

Famous last words...... :D

I definately see the same trend with the Marauder as with the Impala SS....cops loved both cars (they were their everyday cruisers) and the thought of a suped up luxury type version tickles them to death...most of the Impala SS guys I know were or are cops.....and I know a couple on this board are members of our countries finest.....

What a coincidence...a thread re: radar immunity. Hmmm, I don't doubt that its just wild imagination to believe that driving an MM will deliver one from the descriminating eye of the costly beacon of speed detection...but I ran 80-100 MPH consistently for over 60 miles last evening without a problem from at least 3 State Troopers encountered along the way. (the Valentine 1 confirmed their presence)

I'm not here to endorse such callous driving as that, but one HAS to wonder why the "god of speed" (Mercury) bestows such benevolence upon its mortal subjects.
However, be that as it may...this speed jockey is graciously thankful for whatever reasons they (Troopers) had for cutting me that slack!!

BTW, my MM loves the road at high cruise speeds...no shimmy, no shakes, no meanders...just straight and true to form.
What a car!! I LOVE IT.

I agree Joe. The Marauder seems to love the highway! Well, hopefully The God of Speed will continue to protect his loyal subects!
