Already got 255/55/18's on it. got my tune to fix the speed o. anyone notice any different driving characteristics. It seems like when im on the freeway it feels like it wants to get squirrelly. Almost feels like it's oversteering when i change lanes or make high speed turns. Also when I'm cruising and let out of the gas it feels like it's dipping forwards almost as if it was bogging any ideas?
O and its a 300A w/o traction control and I already got the axle fixed
Falken H rated tire BTW

Do you have a different tread pattern on the front. Mine did that with the oem's on front and Kdw2's on rear. It's fine now with the 2's on front also. Different tires have different tracking characteristics.

Dump the falkens ASAP. I had the SAME complaint about Falkens being Squirrley on the Freeway. The sidewalls are VERY wobbly on these. Guess what, 2 weeks after installing them, I had to make a quick lane change....This is a result of Falkens.

I have had the KDW2 (255/55/18) on the rear for a year, I had to finally replace the KDW on the front with KDW2 (cords were showing on the insides of both sides).
I love these tires. Solid and repeatable, not at all unpredictable or squirrelly. If there's no change to your alighment or set-up then it's those tires.
I also got new tires on my truck last month, put Goodyear Wranglers on the rear and it is now terrible. It rolls over when going into a corner and it feels like the back end is wandering all the time. I believe it's because of the weak sidewalls. Obviously it drove like a truck before, but TIRES make the difference.

Holy ****. I went with the Nitto 420S and I've never had a problem in the slightest.

I run kdws up front and kdw2 on the rear, just like mcb26 said "Different tires have different tracking characteristics."
I've put probably close to 20k miles on the kdw2 tires and even with doing large amount of burnouts, etc etc they still have a lot of thread left. Thanks again Wes for selling me the four 255/55's you had left. Now I just need to buy new front OEM tires for spring.

Thanks for everyone's the input. It makes sense. As my finances sit I'm going to have to wait it out until crawfish season (work in cajun restaurant/oyster bar) to make some money and put new ones on. It's not my DD so I can ride it out and just burn em up in the mean time.
wchain I see HPD in the back. You ever see some punk kid drivin like a bat out of hell in a black rauder don't be afraid to say hello.
Question for you though. Did you go Falken all the way around???

What tune corrects a "speed-o"

speedometer. Since it's a bigger tire the speedometer would be off a bit (not much to worry about if you don't already have a tuner but I've had mine for a while now). I also noticed when I had the new tune with the old tires it hesitated during shifting because it expected to be at a different RPM (problem solved after I got the new tires put on). I also updated my tune because I got a K & N air intake that I put on.

No, had the stock KDWS on the front.
I'll try to but I'm sure you know that the blue rarely comes out. Catch me in my Grey Mercedes SClass or a white 7 series.

Thats the same set up I'm running. Took it in to talk to them about it today. They test drove it and said it was because they are new tires and I'll have to get used to it and blah blah blah. Looks like I'm going to have to light these up and get some new ones (from somewhere else) once business picks up.

It went right over his head. :shake:
I wonder how much he paid for this impossible correction via tune?

I already had the chip. I got a cold air intake while I was at it because it was time to replace the air filter and i figure why not make it easier to get to that damn oil filter. So i wanted my car to be tuned to the intake and attempt to correct the offset of having larger than OEM tires on the car (as well as shift points). Thanks for your concern CRUZTAKER
