View Full Version : Okay, I'm dumb. Maybe this is the answer.

Maybe it's just me, or I'm having more "senior moments", but I find it hard to remember everybody's name, especially when I only see them occasionally at the Chicken Run, for example. The folks coming to the Dyno Day will be a real challenge for me, I bet.
I thought I'd see if anyone is interested in "nametags". I'm not a very good graphics guy, so critiques of the art attached aren't allowed. However, I'd like to get feedback on either of the two attached concepts and see what people think. I could probably get sticky-back ones for the Dyno Day, and I was thinking about a more permanent plastic type of name badge, about 2.5" by 4".
Let me know what you think.

Would these be made up for those attending Windy City Meets
also? Looks good to me.

Either style would be fine by me.For some reason I have no problem picking jrzygrl out of the crowd ,but I am terrible at remembering names and putting them to faces.
Looks good Mark. I prefer choice 2, but the car should be silver, lowered, have 400+hp and have some kind of banner on the windshield. I think you'd look good in a car matching that description!!

Since we all don't have a Black Marauder, than number one would be more appropriately suited for any occasion.
I think they're both great.

I don't know if this is a good idea or not...but I am in the printing business and I had thought about Marauder business cards....maybe a god's head logo..the mm.net web name and you could have your name address and phone number email address what ever... along with your screen name. We would print all black for Black owners and all blue for Blue owners and silver etc....but the key to keeping these cost effective would be running them all at once...but we could easily do say 250 cards each for less than $30....good solid thermography...maybe lower depends upon the number of people who wanted them.....
Just a thought...I would not mind having a set....you can give them out at meets etc....
But I think name tags are great for meets....

Okay - based on comments/voting, this is what I'm going to try to get made. It's a bit smaller - 2x3".
P.S. I really like Mary's logo, though. I just don't think it'll silkscreen on a plastic square very well.

What kind of cost involved? Do you need committment from X amount of people to make this happen?

I think between $7 and $11 for each one (plus postage). I don't yet know if I need a multiple order commitment to make this happen. I'm corresponding with a guy who makes similar nametags for ham radio operators, and have yet to get his reply. I'm trying to get at least one for "Dyno Day" 8/3. If I have to pay a setup fee, I can spread it out over many nametags.
Stay tuned...
