Hi,

A few days ago I got into the Marauder after a 2 minute stop at the store and much to my chagrin when I turned the key in the ignition the silence was deafening. Not so much as a sigle RPM or even a warning bell turned or chimed. The car was completely dead. Even the power locks would not work using the key control. After several tries I got out of the car and jiggled the battery cables, which were not the least bit loose, and when I got back into the car it started like the proverbial charm. Yesterday I repeated the above scenario when the same thing happened, with the same results. I am wondering if I have accidentally activated some security feature or something, that gets reset evertime I drag my ass out of the seat? Has anybody else had or heard of this problem?

I am going to take it back to the dealer and have them check it out but I'd like to go in to thye dealer with all the information I can carry!!!

Thanks....

I don't think there's any "system kill" on this car. Unless, you wouldn't happen to have a security system installed would you? If not, and jiggling the battery cables wakes her up, I'd say there's a short in that cable. Did you notice any sparking? After doing thing, is everything in the car reset (ie, clock, radio presets, etc...)? Interesting...

Man that is a tuff one? I said it under the hood, loose wire, wires?

Please let us know

Good luck!

Take it to the dealer.

Could be a battery problem too

Check your ground connection by the battery post or the positive wire by the main fuse box next to the battery .
Good luck in finding the problem...

Sounds like a defective battery

(I should just put this in my sig...) Triple TA - That's just what I was thinking. By moving the harness the possible broken wire made contact. IMHO. Please keep us posted.:(

I had a look under the hood a few hours ago... there are MANY wires around that area of the battery that could get jiggled by touching the battery cables. Are these wires potential "slice-and-dice" victims? Not on my car, but as we've all said... each Marauder is unique (especially when it comes to wiring harness issues).
