View Full Version : Idiot(s) Who Ruin SSHS7 and the Marauder Community

This incident at SSHS7 has me and a lot of people very angry. We need to find out the person or persons responsible and totally ban them from "anything" Marauder related.
Some A**HOLE call the HIE where a lot of Marauder people where staying and cancelled Todd Fisher's (TAF) reservation. With a sold out hotel he was seriously inconvenienced. Then with a posted dinner reservation he made at the Outback for 30 + people, this person or persons called the resturant and said, "we weren't coming due to there being a serious crash at the track and we were all at the hospital with those who were hurt."
That is about the lowest thing anyone could do:mad2:. To single out any person, whether you like them or not and pull ***** like this hurts the Marauder community as a whole. Regardless of past issues with certain people, site differences, personality conflicts or whatever, this is way out of line to do this to any person who spent considerable time organizing and helping out everyone who attended SSHS7. Whether you like Todd or not does not matter. The man made a serious effort to accommodate all Marauder owners as well as offer to assist Marauder brethern with problems, regardless of what site they prefer.
At SSHS7 there was not any riff between the two sites. Yes some people avoided certain people, but overall everyone was cordial, got along with each other and totally enjoyed the event. Some even went out of their way to offer assistance for myself and others. John Nero had tranny problems and Todd offered to help John trailer his car to Team Ford if he needed to get it there.
As a Marauder group we all need to make an effort to find out who did this. If you know, RAT his AZZ OUT! This type of conduct creates ammunition and discord that hurts all mm.net members as well as mcm.members. More importantly it discredits those of us who enjoy our cars and the people who own them.

Wow!! Tom I am sorry to hear that....that is totally uncalled for....cause whomever did that did not just inconvience TAF but the entire group. Its no joking matter to say someone is in the hospital even if no one is.
I hope everything turned out ok in the end and everyone got to eat, and TAF got a good nights rest.

It's sad that some people are so juvenile. Glad everything worked out in the end as far as the hotel and dinner reservations.
I agree with Tom, almost everybody was cordial and behaved well. Some snubs and childish behavior here and there, but most people got along. Too bad some individuals can't just let it go.

Tom, I agree. What a childish thing to do. Pure and simple :bs:
I was hoping that this incident was not true and that no one "anywhere" in the Marauder community would stoop to such low levels. Neither action was funny. Both crossed the line on practical jokes and the hospital thing is just plain sick. Someone has some serious "maturity" issues.

Well, I am calling in a marker from some friends of mine to get phone records of incoming calls to the Outback that day. Then I am going call in another marker from a close friend and try and find out who generated the call and where it came from. If at all possible this azzhole will be found and revealed. Some people are just plain stupid pulling this kind of ***** and do not have a clue how phone calls can be easily investigated and traced, regardless of the orgin of the call. I am on a mission.

I 100% agree Tom~
No need to ruin a very good day of racing and commraderie with classless moves like that. I hope you find the SOB. Divisiveness should have no place in our community.
We don't all have to drink beer together, but we don't have to be pricks to each other either.

I'm really sorry to hear that happened to him. Someone really crossed the line & should be made a example of. Their action is Just plain Cold & Cruel and they should be banned from all Marauder Events at the very least.

May it have been a lurker on one of the websites seeing the meeting details in full public view?
Hoping not to sound too paranoid...
Sometimes I wonder whom I might come across in public if they know exactly where & when I would be at a certain location. You might remember that the MM was one of the most stolen cars in 2005 & 2006. Not easy to find one in your area, go here to see when they will be a certain location.
Maybe to prevent the whole world access to the event info, just announce it as normal, then have only people attending the event access to the online link info until after the event is over. Like a more secure area of the website where only participants have access to it.
I don't mind the inconveinence of reading about the event afterwards if I'm not actually attending it.

WOW!
Sorry to hear someone tried to ruin the event...
There's an IDIOT in every crowd...Hopefully this one gets found out...
If I may sugest: Don't get mad or upset, at this situation...Because that's what this looser is wanting you to be...If you allow yourself to get angry, the looser wins the fight...without throwing one punch...
Rather, let it go...laugh it off...Don't let idiots dictate how your day goes...
Call in your favors...and identify this idiot...This will help everyone put this behing them...
FORGIVE (have no anger)...
BUT NEVER FORGET (treat them accordingly)...
Good Luck

Once you have what you are looking for, give him or her a chance to "out themselves" and apologize...

No real "searching" required. Just look in the events section of this website. It would seem unlikely to be targeted, but it is still possible.

You're too nice - 100% right - but way too nice!
I was thinking more along the lines of tar & feathers then a ride out on a fence rail, but that's just me.

While I agree with; the person(s) involved were out of line.
I hardly think the event was ruined.
I was not there, so It is a grandstanders perspective.
The person(s) that did this, are truly the unfortunates.
I could not imagine taking the time away from the festivities, to conjur up such deeds.
Chances are, uncovering the persons involved will not change them.
Use you energies for your benefit Tom.

Also cancelled was the reservation for the conference room that Todd reserved for all Marauderers for a party. Lo and Behold similar cancellations for tried but fortunately failed at Dream Cruise Host Hotel (someone tried to cancel the entire block out of rooms) and the banquet for all attendees of Dream Cruise at Capers this summer. I don't have words for the contempt I feel for anyone involved in these actions. We need to get to the bottom of this and clean house of this rot. It effects all Marauderers. Dennis

Honestly, we should not have to do that. And really I do not think the public would get involved in this kind of thing. We do not own the a-typical
type of car.

That is such a small thing to do that will cause such a big problem. I bet the person or persons who did it probably own a Chevy Impala lol. But for real that does suck and I could understand how that will boil some peoples blood. Hope you find out who is behind it!

I know you were joking, but I doubt it was a Chevy Impala owner. In the early days of the Marauder some of the younger Impala guys were very upset about the Marauder's existence, and tried to make a nuisance of themselves here. I highly doubt they'd stoop to this kind of thing though. This sort of immature antic has happened before, a call made to report an activity at Team Ford a few years ago, the calls attempting to effect MV3, and now this.
I'd guess it's most likely one person rather than a group, and that person needs professional help.

I agree RC...The Chebby guys I met were a 1st class bunch all the way, and would never even think of doing that.
As far as professional help? Naw.......... A kick in the teeth or Bamboo slivers up under the finger nails before breaking the fingers, but professional help? No way.
Sorry but crap like this pisses me off.

It wasn't the Chevy guys. All of them made us feel welcome, hell we make it easier for this event to occur every year.
No, sad to say it was someone from the MM community. I wouldn't want to be in their shoes; I know TJA is well connected in the Law Enforcement arena...
By the way, I had a GREAT time!

This is a pretty classless stunt. I hope to attend this event sometime soon. Why not an impala owner? In high school before the big rivalry w/the HS in the next town all kinds of stunts were pulled. Ex: one year the other schools students came to our pep-rally and while we were still in the gym at the rally, they lit the huge bone-fire on the side of the football field that was supposed to be lit when the gym rally was done.
These actions done were of HS mentality. Curious to see what becomes of this. Let's all NOT get HBP because of it.

Did not affect Todd's attitude at all the whole weekend! Todd is awesome! I think the person doing this is just jealous that they can't be like Todd.

I don't understand the Outback part, they don't take reservations, only call ahead seating. If that's what you mean, then look at whoever was around him when he made the call for the call-ahead seating as it would have been made within an hour or less of the arrival time.

For groups up to 30 people some Outbacks will take reservations. And either way the call was made less than two hours prior to the time.
