The way I found to be effective against starting a war (retaliation), is to allow that person to keep thier dignity...

Don't stomp this person into the ground...this will humiliate this person...increasing the chance of retaliation...

Rather, simply let that person know "WE ALL KNOW" who they are, and politely ask them to remove themselves from this family...

This is important: Wish them well on their way out...After all, life must be difficult for this person...If not now, sure will be once he/she is identified...

Wow, did I just write this? The things you learn as you get older...Just a few years back, and my response would have been just the opposite...

But I have come to learn, that whenever I beat the sh$t out of someone (was a bouncer at various night clubs for @ 13 years, so this would happen @ once or twice a week)...I would pick them up, dust them off, and even help them with their wounds (even called the ambulance for a few)...Told them sorry I had to do it to them, shook their hand, and politely asked them NOT to bother me again...They never came back...

The one's I stomped into the ground and spit on as I walked away, often came back; Requiring me to do it all over again to him and his friends...This got old as I got old...Now I let them keep their dignity...and all is good..

May I suggest a formal poll be implemented and that the punishment be inflicted accordingly.

The poll should contain a question as to revealing their ID's or not, an array of punishment options and if restitution is warranted.

Since members of both the .net and .com sites were victimized and there are corresponding threads on both sites then a poll be taken on both sites.

I spent considerable personal time, resources from close collegues and more to clear Zacks name. I took on this for one reason. TO help mend differences bewteen the sites and the Marauder community as a whole. Yes there are still personality differences and with any site they will continue. It is Over and I am Done. Whoever did this will probably never be solved. Let's move on.

I hardly make it to the SSM meetings let alone the National meetings (too busy building and running a new company). So this prankster(s) didn't hurt me.

Nevertheless, this is NOT the first event that He/She/They have attempted to sabotage events with these pranks. If they are not stopped, they will eventually be successful sooner or later and then it will be too late. An event will be ruined for NOTHING.

As for this being a college prank, well, I am only 3 yrs. out of college and I am a member of a Fraternity so believe you me I know all about pranks. However, it doesn't mean that we don't track down who is responsible and hit back. No free passes.

I was never aware of an SSHS Marauder event. I specficially checked the official SSHS web site several times and never saw a Marauder event posted or mentioned.

I have never been extended an invitation to an SSHS Marauder event.

For SSHS7 I was told that as a member of MercuryMarauder.Net I was not to attend any events sponsored by a particular individual. Any attempt to attend these events would result in arrest for tresspassing.

Before SSHS7 I was notified by another member that both he and another member were threatened with physical violence at SSHS7. See the following PM

That's great Zack is cleared, it means he wasn't responsible, but there is still one or two out there who is/are.
Why are you giving up now though, didn't you indicate you would find the responsible party(s)?
Was it not posted that there may be more than one person involved? This needs to be cleared up, it has happened before and it will keep happening unless someone or some persons come forward.

A lot of people suspected Zack being behind this incident. I can confidentally tell you, without reservation, that it was not Zack.. Period.

I spent considerable personal time, resources from close collegues and more to clear Zacks name. I took on this for one reason. TO help mend differences bewteen the sites and the Marauder community as a whole. Yes there are still personality differences and with any site they will continue. It is Over and I am Done. Whoever did this will probably never be solved. Let's move on. Tom I wish you would have posted this on the other site.They didn`t get the answer they wanted so they locked the thread.Im not the smartest guy but going to Atlanta really changed my way of thinking about people.

For SSHS7 I was told that as a member of MercuryMarauder.Net I was not to attend any events sponsored by a particular individual. Any attempt to attend these events would result in arrest for tresspassing.

Classic! I knew about this, but wasn't aware IT had it out for such a variety of nice folks. I'm sure you didn't miss much however. Everytime I pop in a Midas muffler I just ask the manager to put on a clean set of dickies, a pair of Sperry dock siders, kick me in the balls while doing his best impression southern drawl. I close my eyes, feel the pain while listening to the gentle hum of of the impact wrenches, and rampid keyboard typing, and wa-lla, I'm in SPAMMED MUFFLER. :D

Nothing major happened, from what I gather everybody got rooms and had dinner. Maybe they lost out on a banquet room?

And here's where the real concern should be. This character is making a major play to take over some sponsorship of the SSHS event. If all are welcomed, then are threatened if they show up, how can this be good for the future of the event or the community?

At SSHS7, everybody else was congenial no matter what side of the fence they came from. This was the only person who refused to shake hands or even speak with others.
