Well with my next milestone being the big 50,000 miles, I thought it would be a good idea to change the serpentine belt now.
Since I want to do a thorough job, I figure I better change the belt tensioner and the 2 idler pulleys.
Okay, here lies a problem with the 2003 Workshop Manual. On page 303-05-1 it shows on the right the 4 valve engine diagram. Notice that items # 1 and 9 display the same part number, namely 19A216 for both idler pulleys.

On examining the car, I noticed that one of them is GROOVED and the other one is SMOOTH. They cannot be the same part number.
Has anyone resolved this on their MM yet?
Thanks.

Okay, today I completed the job.
Here is some useful information that is worth sharing.

Replaced serpentine belt. Goodyear Gatorback (part # 4060922)
Replaced belt tensioner. Dayco (part # 89291)
[Note: at AutoZone they rename the part # 305291]

Replaced smooth idler pulley. Motorcraft part #YS245 (XR3Z8678BA)
Replaced grooved idler pulley. Motorcraft part #YS249 (YW7Z8678AA)
P.S. Thank you Ray (the Dealer) for the part numbers for those idler pulleys.
