I have a black 03 with the paint problem. White spots in the clear coat, small scratches, etc. Should I have only the hood and trunk lid repainted? The rest of the paint looks good. Can the paint be matched, with in reason to the rest of the car ? How much would this cost, ball park from a good shop? Thanks for any info in advance.

I had my trunk, hood and top repainted under warranty last June for the same reasons as yours. The estimate was about 2K

The match was perfect,

That is what I was thinking, around 2k with the Hood, trunk lid and rear bumper. I will get several estimates and check the shops reputation. What happened to the price of a paint job? I remember when 2k would get you a top of the top line paint job for the whole car!

The infamous Earl Shibe special. "I can paint any car,,,any color for only $29.95" Of course he painted EVERYTHING, headlights, emblems, door handles!

I say do it........ it is probably better tan white spots, scratches, and nicks in the paint.:burnout:
