Sorry for the late reply here; I haven't been back to mm.net since I put her up in storage. As mentioned in other threads, the rear axle is the same as many Mustangs, so the 4.10 install should be a piece of cake for a Mustang shop. fairlane347 might know some people in SE Wisconsin to recommend. Are you close to Milwaukee?

you will need an install kit, (witch may or may not include: bearings & friction modifier) gear lube, bearings, optional stud kit & rear end girdle.

In my opinion if you are going to change the gears, you may as well
replace all bearings & seals (including axle bearings) when you have it apart.
If you plan on installing any type of power adder down the road
spend the money & replace the stock posi with a "Detroit true-trac"
it has no clutches to wear out, realy no maintenace (except for gear lube changes) you will not be disapointed.
get Ryan your # & talk to his friend.

You've got 3.55s stock. As you increase that number, you will have a better off-the-line start in exchange for a harder to reach top-end speed. 4.10s are the way most people go. More than that and you start to lose street driveablility. 3.73s are a good middle ground if you want to enhance your off-the-line and keep some top end. There are tons of threads on mm.net that talk about it. I'm looking at 4.10s for the spring, and one of fairlane347's buddies will probably end up doing it.

Get Ford Motorsport Gears, they are best. Don't by Motive they are junk. My buddy can get you an install kit. Its just bearings and shims. The FMS gears come with the shims and crush sleave. If you want to talk with him let me know he lives in Elkhorn, so it close to you.

Go to www.buyfordracing.com good price on FMS gears, I buy there.

PS what is your name?

I don't know the prices, PM me your phone and I will call you back. I know he can give you a price. I don't want to post his number without asking him.

You need a tuner or something to change the gear ratio when the swap is done otherwise it will be off.

A great shop for Fords (specializes in Mustangs and SHO's, but works on most anything Ford/Mercury) is Performance Plus in Madison WI.

Doug is a true master mechanic and is fair priced (not super cheap, but fair and quick, and I have never known him to sell stuff that wasn't needed).

Good morning
I just had 4:10 installed in mine and I luv it, what a difference in the off the line. My SCT tunner just came in the mail yesterday and plan on installing the changes today. I have heard it will make a big difference. Good luck
