Found this on a Mustang group. They were bashing air suspensions and then this guy chimes in. Nice. :D
"Also in a more recent car and driver dealing with the mach 1 powered mercury marauder, the test drivers reported that the air bags gave the car great traction. So good that they were pissed that it would not get sideways. A couple months later when I was looking for new cars I drove a lincoln LS v8, and infinity G35(my favorate), and a marauder. The marauder out handeled all of them. Test drive one for yourself. WE COULD GO BACK AND FORTH ALL DAY AND NOT GET ANYWHERE BECAUSE YOU HAVE NEVER DRIVEN THE HELL OUT OF A CAR WITH AIR SUSPENSION. I dare you to go to your Mercury dealer and scare the **** out of the salesperson."
Here's a link if you care to read the whole thing:

Really though, a lot of people under credit the MM without ever looking into one or driving one.

As a fellow Mustang owner/driver and member of Mustang Forums, I'm glad to hear that there are a few more proponents of the Marauder.
Remember, on the internet often bash things that they are under-informed about. Once in a while you get a voice of reason.

I think they are talking about two different things.
Someone wants air suspension like on Thunderbolts truck, while someone else wants a Marauder like riding on air suspension for the ultimate crusing without the Mustang hard as rock suspension.
Why is a Marauder bad for a road course?

Yeah, Reading through that, it's hard to tell specifically what they are looking for...a quality ride, or adjustable suspension
the thread is also a couple years old....airbag technology has improved drastically, and continues to improve. My bagged truck actually rides very very nice considering what's been done to it.

I can tell you from direct experience. After radically lowering my car - front fender lip is lower than the top of the tire by about 1/2" and rear fender lip is even with the top of the tire - the thing handles like it's on rail! It also has front and rear sway bars.
The down side is the ride is rough - the car does not bottom out but it does not float down the road!

Not just the air bags. I think that the four links rear arms might also have a lot to do with the Panther car not getting sideways.

Is this how you lowered your car?
Nakke QA-1 coil overs in front & QA-1 shocks out back

Readjusted the rear ride height sensor for the rear and re-worked the oem springs to work w/QA1 adjustable front coil-overs.

Sorry for the thread drift...

This is what I suspected. Did you need to do, cut a coil?

Yes I did - alittle over one coil.
