Hello everyone. I've been lurking around here for awhile trying to learn everything that I can about Marauders. I would like to buy one in the next year to year and a half. I have a '70 Fairlane 500 wagon to finish first.

Before I purchase something, I research it to death. I have used the search function and read about the differences between 300a's, b's, and transmissions. Here is my questions. Now that Marauders have been on the road for awhile, are there any items, issues, or trouble spots that I should be looking for when purchasing a used Marauder? Are the '03 transmissions now having any reliability problems? Has anybody experienced any electrical gremlins? I hate electrical problems!

Most of the tranny problems are more or less related to a car with a power adder application. The only real "electrical" problem I can think of, would be the LCM, which causes the whacky wiper syndrome and the lights to stay on and not being able to turn off. Other than that, normal maintenance and this car will make you extremely happy!

Funny you mention electrical gremlins. Driver side window switch is not illuminated, and the passenger side switches blink like bastards. Drives me nuts, had a tech look at em and he said its the victim of all Marauders. :confused:
My car has 33k on it, and I havent noticed any other problems.

My '03 has been highly reliable and like others, even under frequent "punishment". Only issue I have had (still do), is the heater/AC control seems to have quit...AC will just blow through Defrost vents, not dash vents...maddening.

Buy one, you won't regret it.

Had the same problem on my '04 and now my '03. Minor issue, but can be irritating.
