I just had the Marauder washed and my tires were still wet and bald. I pull up at a light that had just turned red. The street goes under a bridge for a train and it goes from 1-2 lanes in probably 1/16th of a mile. An Acura RSX (I think) pulls up and it's looking good. Nice shiny blue and I could tell the driver was proud of his car for the way he was holding onto the wheel and posture. This guy has on sunglasses, tan jacket and the window is down... it's 50 outside and he isn't smoking.... I think he likes the sound of his engine.
So the light turns green and he hits it without warning. I hit it and spin the heck out of my rears, let off and he's up by 2 car lengths. I give it half throttle and again I have to let off. Third time I give it hell with a gap closing very quickly and the car finally hooks. I pass him just in time to clear the bridge supports to my left and he never catches up. The next light turns red and I'm in the left lane and there are cars in the right. The guy goes in the right lane and doesn't care to speak to me or rematch. I still had a trunk of of Marshall 300 watt amps and my Fender PA from band practice the night before.
Nothing like a 12 second street car. :burnout:
