Mark your calendars early. This is just a Heads-Up on the dates for the upcoming annual Washington Auto Show. It runs from 23-27 January 2008 at the Washington Convention Center. >>>>>>> http://www.washingtonautoshow.org/

Saturday, 26 January 2008 is probably the best day for the CAMers to try to get together. In years past, we have aimed to get there between 10:30 and 11:00 AM. Generally, we finish up with a dinner & beverage run around 4:00-4:30 PM to the Capitol BrewPub or the Hard Rock Cafe.

No way, the last meeting sucked so bad I swore never to attend another one. It was too hot, I didn't make any friends, and I left hungry.

Thanks for the heads up. I plan to show around 1100 on Saturday.

Wow I missed out on that meet. I was in cleveland. Will look at callender and see/hope future employer gives me that day(s) off.

I'm up for WAS3 with CAM, but, never on a Saturday again. Last year it was those GD demonstrators clogging up the subways and the hot, crowded arena that makes me beg you guys to chose mid-week for the outing.

Also, as a casual observance, many folks who speak up, and decide for all of us when and where we're gonna do something turn out to be no-shows.

I say, let's go tuesdayorwednesdayorthursday:D

I know, some will howl ..."but I have to work and can only go on Saturday" well, are you really gonna go, even if it is Saturday? :rolleyes:

I used to do the mid-week thing when the Washington Auto Show was between Christmas & New Year's Day. However, since they moved to the new Convention Center a couple years ago, the date has slipped to the end of January. That's a very busy time for me at work -- not much chance to skate out.

While I agree with you "in principle", Saturday is the ONLY day that I can even consider that week. Howl, Howl .... ;) And I think you know over the last 3.5 years --- If I say I'll be there --- I am there. :P ... whether I suggest the date or someone else does.

Besides I thought that you enjoyed heckling the demonstrators last year and elbowing your way through the crowd. :rofl:

Yep, Charlie, there's a couple of us that do what we say we're gonna do. ;)

And as far as heckling, there was just that one idiot who quieted down, after he was informed that I was gonna shove his sign up his ass.

But you've got it all wrong; it was Gordon who bucked the line, it was dumb me who stood in line, seething. :mad2:

So.... no one's going during the week, eh? :rolleyes:

WaWaWa...I say Saturday is the best time to meet. Beside I'm not afraid of any damn demonstrators and Mike why do you think that person put down his sigh when you said that? Becaus I was standing next to you and growling at him. ;)

I have taken Metro to the convention center for the past several years.

However, there is a large pay parking lot on 9th Street between Massachusetts Ave and L St.
