Anyone in the MD, DC, VA area know of a good suspension shop that would be able to cut the front springs of the Marauder the proper way? It was explained that the metal had to be heated (maybe?) to retain it's proper strength/tension.
I've heard good and bad about the Eibach springs... do you think they would cut springs if they were sent to them? (dumb ? I know but, I figured I would ask anyway)

1) Make sure you cut both springs in the same spot.
1.5) Hold the spring in a vise, to you're not chasing it around while trying to cut.
2) Keep the cut location COOL. I used a water-soaked rag wrapped around the keeper side of the cut.
3) Cut with a fresh cut-off wheel and a die grinder with plenty of pressure that won't run out during the cut. The faster you get through it, the less heat goes in the metal.
4) Spray the exposed cut with etching primer, then with black paint.
5) Replace the spring perch exactly as it was removed (assuming 1 full coil cut)
Any decent auto shop has the needed tools. It's really not hard. Just take your time with the setup and have your tools and materials together.
Make sure you use a proper spring compressor to remove the spring from the strut assembly.
