About to hit 83k miles soon and I was wonder for the guys who have around the same or more mileage is their anything I should be looking to fail, need replacement or keep more of an eye on?
Is their any certain mileage cut off for transmission flushes? With my old 95 Cougar it had 78k miles on it and and I was taking it to a Ford dealer to get the trans flushed which I did every 30k miles (drained and filled every 15k miles) and the Ford service center told me they don't do trans flushes on vehicles with more than 75k miles because it could cause problems, stir crap up and cause the trans to fail.
Other than probably getting a fiberglass hood modding is done for the MM cause I have my 89 5.0 to tinker with now. So I want to focus strictly on general maintenance stuff for the MM. Oil change is done every 3-5K miles, drain and fill trans every other oil change, spark plugs were replace 10-15k miles ago, pcv filters replaced a few months ago, fuel filter several months ago other than that I need to put on my new TA rear axle gridle and change the fluid (will install 4.10s in the spring). Anything else I should tackle? My MM has been my main DD but I will be starting to split the miles between it and the 5.0.
Thanks.

I have my transmission flushed at about 15K - 18K mile intervals. Ford recommends 30K; but I have gone with a more frequent schedule based on some recommendations that I have seen written on the MM.Net.

Is their any certain mileage cut off for transmission flushes? ...the Ford service center told me they don't do trans flushes on vehicles with more than 75k miles because it could cause problems, stir crap up and cause the trans to fail.Either you mis-understood or your dealer is a moron. Many places refuse to do transmission flushes in high-mileage cars, but only if the transmission has never been properly serviced in the first place. This is obviously not the situation in your case, so the dealer had no reason to refuse.
A little background for those who may not be aware:
We've all heard the old "never flush an older transmission, it'll kill it" myth. The real story is as follows...
Joe Happycarowner has never ever had his transmission serviced, and now, with 142,000 miles, it's beginning to slip (or shift hard, or make strange noises, etc) so he thinks he'll just run it down to the local Qwik-Lube and have them take care of it. They flush it, he drives the car for another 3 weeks, and the transmission croaks. Ergo...the transmission flush was the last thing done, so the flush MUST have killed it, right? Wrong! The 142,000 miles of neglect killed it. It was ready to die, hence the symptoms that caused our hero to bring it in for service in the first place.
I'll say this again: There is NO reason for not flushing a transmission, no matter what the miles, as long as it has been properly serviced all along, and as long as it's not doing anything abnormal.

As Said Above If Has Been Done Regularly Then There Should'nt Be A Problem... As For Expecting Anything Else I've Always Been Told At 100k Expect Any And Everthing To Wrong..

Thanks for clearing that up.
