The Focus has played 154.6 db. I do not like to demo the car as it is to loud!

The Focus has played 154.6 db.

Phsssshaw. That's nuthin!!!

For people who don't understand that number:
The 2007 record for Street Max 3-4 is 164
Superstreet 3-4 is 168.
A 12Gauge shotgun is 160 at your ear when you are firing it.
The space shuttle is about 180
Loud rooms are about 95
My Marauder with nearly open pipes and headers is about 130 right behind the car.
Those annoying arse bass cars on the road are in the mid 140's
A really loud rock concert is about 135-136.

To pilot one of these monsters isn't easy, either!
At about 130, you can't hear anything else or even feel the car running.
At about 140, the doors start 'breathing'
At about 145, it starts to hurt your ears (protection is mandatory in competition)
At about 148, it becomes difficult to breathe
At about 151, your eyes begin to jiggle and you begin to see multiples.
At about 153, you breathe in between notes.
At about 156, your ribs all feel like they are about to break.
At 160 your heart can stop.

I dont how wide the tires are on the Camaro. It will be back soon to finish the stereo. They just finished building the car and a ton was spent on it. It has a great paint job and the motor is wicked. It left here to be tuned.

Now, the amplifier in the Focus, does it go to 11?

(See, that would be louder than 10)

An escape of the letter "T" was captured by an amateur photographer while visiting a local stereo shop. The whereabouts of the errant letter are unknown at this time, but local police have stated that he is a known member of the A.S.F.C.(alphabet soup freedom coalition). "T" AKA as capital T, little t, or alphabet t is wanted in connection with a number of felony misnomers involving rap stars. He has been found in the past in the company of "S" and "U"

If you have any information regarding this escapee, please contact John Kuhn at John's Stereo. John is offering a deal on Dish TV as a reward.

I know that sick feelin'! I used to accompany Brian to the SLAP competions in the New England area where he was the judge for the DB competion. This one guy had a Focus that had a wall of 10s... I think he had like 25 of them bad boys. I sat in that thing and even with headphones and my hands squeezin' them to my head it felt like my eyes and ears were gonna pop outa my head! My hair was movin' and everything. I couldn't believe it cause the guy could sit in it with no prob with the headphones on... crazy... I wonder were Rany is these days??

Peace!

He has also been known to use the pseudonyms T-Bone, T-Rex, T-Shirt and Golf Tee. His tendency to hang out with the good looking Vowels is well documented; but his main squeeze is none other than the famous "O".

"These go to eleven":

http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/../showcase/files/2/1/9/0/Eleven.jpg

Nigel Tufnel (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/name/nm0001302/): The numbers all go to eleven. Look, right across the board, eleven, eleven, eleven and...
Marty DiBergi (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/name/nm0001661/): Oh, I see. And most amps go up to ten?
Nigel Tufnel (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/name/nm0001302/): Exactly.
Marty DiBergi (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/name/nm0001661/): Does that mean it's louder? Is it any louder?
Nigel Tufnel (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/name/nm0001302/): Well, it's one louder, isn't it? It's not ten. You see, most blokes, you know, will be playing at ten. You're on ten here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, you're on ten on your guitar. Where can you go from there? Where?
Marty DiBergi (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/name/nm0001661/): I don't know.
Nigel Tufnel (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/name/nm0001302/): Nowhere. Exactly. What we do is, if we need that extra push over the cliff, you know what we do?
Marty DiBergi (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/name/nm0001661/): Put it up to eleven.
Nigel Tufnel (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/name/nm0001302/): Eleven. Exactly. One louder.
Marty DiBergi (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/name/nm0001661/): Why don't you just make ten louder and make ten be the top number and make that a little louder?
Nigel Tufnel (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/name/nm0001302/): [pause] These go to eleven.

Any idea what a lightning strike is? I have been in my house when it was hit by lightning, about 8 feet away from me it then had a column of fire burn through the air and explode just outside my open window. A bright white flash followed and the loudest noise I have ever heard. So loud it was completely silent. It stunned me and I just sat there for a few seconds blinking. I then ran over to the other side of my place and was told a stream of fire rode down the drainpipe and into the ground.

So how loud would that be?

Previous loud sound was the concorde taking off at heathrow (London) and passing right over my car as I drove down the M25. I almost crashed.

Other than that I worked in a steel fabrication plant and the shear line was very loud, even with dual ear protection.

None of them even came close to the lightning bolt/fire ball

Might have been from an extra-terrestrial flying saucer. Quite common here in "the States", and often reported on Coast-To-Coast AM with George Noory ...
