Piglit50;

The search function is your friend. Type in key word "Zex" or "nitrous", or "NOS" and you will find a weath of information, including install pics and instructions. This topic has been covered extensively and many threads are waiting your perusal. Good hunting.

I put on a 125 zex kit, had it tuned and now have a rod knock. Think real hard, our engines are weak in stock form.

I wish it was that easy but so many people have NOS and nitrous in there signature that the search comes up with pages of useless information. That and this was the thread that came up when I searched.:D
In fact it was the only nitrous related thread on page 1 of the search.

You may have to root through useless threads, but I know there are a couple of good ones in there.

Good luck!

After reading of the troubles people have had with that purple box I would stay away from a Zex kit. Do a search on the mach1registry.com to see what I am referring to.

Most of us are using the Zex kit. There was a group buy through Wes a few years back.

I cannot say that the Zex alone caused my damage. After using it many many times, one afternoon I had an eronious detonation. That was likely due to bad gas.

It was my oil pump that failed, and failed in a manner that induced it's small parts into the motor thus siezing it requiring a tear down to repair it's inards.

I was at the time using a very risky tune that demanded high octane fuel.

Normally I would use the NOS with my safe tune that turned down the motor quite a bit. NA I could feel the difference on the road, but I could safely spray on pump gas.

Therefore, I am not sure why anyone here would condsider the Zex product any different from comparable products out there. :dunno:

I have not used Zex or any other brand however it seems a few people have had problems with the Zex NMU.

and have never experienced a problem. My system is a wet 100 shot.

I use Lideo's standard Marauder tune and Denso IT-20 Plugs. 93 octane from chevron is my gas.

I don't use it on the street much, small town with a police force the size of the state militia. No tickets so far. But on the track it really makes power and ups the fun factor a bunch.

I also use the Zex traction controller box set to 3.8K RPM to aid in a smoke free launch.

Reinhart automotive's forum has an install how to, with pictures.

So far my ET is in the mid 13's at 102 MPH, in spite of my crappy driving skills. But hey I'm having fun and surprise a few opponents.
