Yeah do what I did, Get a new radio. :mad2:

Seriously, you'll have to pull it out, then take the radio apart. If you think thats bad, When you press eject and the tape dont come out well guess what? The stupid radio tries to eject it at all times! I learned this because it killed my battery when my car would sit for a week. When I replaced the radio, My battery was no longer drained.

I only use it because of my cassette adaptor for my MP3 player. Otherwise I wouldnt give a damn.

This car was aimed at the older audience, That explans why a Sinatra CD was in the player when I bought my car.

Sad part is....I had a tape from who knows when I wanted to see what was on it...I figure Mercury said...Most bad to the boners use tapes...LoL:D

Paul is correct as the how to. Do not stick anything in and try to pull or pry as you will bend the taape mechinsm. Replace the unit or have someone who knows what they are doing work on it. Sometimes its nothing more that a drive belt. Hope this helps. Another tip before putting a tape in is to make sure that the tape is not loose.
