Not any earthshaking kill by any means, but one I wanted to share.

Pulled out of the parking lot at work this evening into the center lane, and as soon as traffic cleared, I got into the regular traffic lane. I double checked in my rear-view to make sure I was clear, saw a set of headlights a ways back, but still lots of room. As I do this, the headlights come rocketing up right behind me, and then the guy swings out and pulls right side of me, some goofy guy in a BMW Z4 convertible. As we pulled up to the intersection, the light turned yellow, and I slowed down and figured Bemmer Boy would just fly on through, but he stopped. I looked over at him, like, "what's your problem," but he was just staring ahead at the lights. When the left turn arrow goes green, he jumps about 3 feet out into the intersection, and then just sits there.

Normally I'm really leery of mixing it up on the streets, but well, I figured what the heck, I punched off the O/D, and when the light turned green, BB nails the gas, squealing his tires and away he goes, I just started pushing down on the gas, and as I'm coming up on his door, nail it to the floor. The PHP starts making those wonderful loud sucking sounds and I fly on by him; when I hit second, I get a nice chirp and a wiggle out of the back end. By that time we're coming up on the next set of lights and I start braking cause we're coming up on traffic. We get to the lights, and I look over again, and he's got this "WTF??" look. I just gave him a wink and let him take off at green.

I know the Z4 is only about 215 - 225 hp, so no big deal there, but had to admit it was great fun in busting his bubble. He must have figured he had some hot *****, and that he could put a Bavarian ass-whooping on some Amercian iron. Glad I had a chance to show him otherwise. Man, it was worth it just to see that expression on his face.:D

No doubt.... I'm sure he thinks he just got beat by a "grandpa car." He'll probably take it in to the shop and complain that he got beat by a GM. :)

Bravo - I'm not a big street racer either but I would have to stomp that P.E.V. into the ground! Way to represent!

That's funny Rex.....I don't know where I got "Bob" from??

I was in a store one Saturday and a 55ish guy was spouting off about his white Z-3 Convertible saying it has "bone crushing acceleration!!"???:cool:

I just shook my head and told him to line up beside my silver car and he would see what "bone crushing acceleration" really is!!!

He shrugged his shoulders.....said nothing......walked out......got in his little "Toy Car"......and SLOWLY drove away......."bone crushing acceleration".......I'LL NEVER GET THAT PHRASE OUTTA MY HEAD!!!!:mad2::argue:

"BEAMER BOYS" BLOW!!!!

Not a problem, I should have picked a different screen name, I get mistaken for Cheeseheadbob all the time; and that's okay, too, as we're both from Wisconsin, and have an affinity for the three basic food groups (beer, brats, and cheese).

PHP = Paul's High Performance Cold Air Intake. Similar to K&N or JLT. Dennis Reinhart sells them.

PEV = lots of possibilities here:
Personal Electronic Vehicle
Pressurized Exploration Vehicle
Physically emasculated vehicle
Past Experience of Victimization
Perception of ego-velocity
Postejaculatory vocalization
Posturally-evoked vomiting
and the list goes on.........:burnout:

WTG = Way to Go

Yeah, I love those flames too. Bad azz looking MM.

Monte Carlo SS specs: 5.3L V-8, 303HP, 323 ft./lbs torgue, 3,600 lbs. Might be tough for a bone stock MM, but Stage 1 mods or more should handle them pretty well. Anybody have a confirmed kill on one of these?

Dont mess with one of these new V-8 Monte SS's! I have seen 13.8's from a stock one. I havent played with one in the street but I wouldnt doubt that it would be a handful even for me with all my mods.

Doesnt it feel so good to stomp a overpriced "Sports car?" Congrats on the kill. I know street racing is frowned upon but nothing beats the instant rush of competition.

Nice Kill!

I don't care what model it is, just to flatten a BM is so sweet.

I can't get ANYONE to race me. At first I was picky, and would only target cars like SRT8s (any variety) Subaru WRX sti, but no takers. Now I'm desperate, and pull up to ANYTHING, and still no luck. It's depressing. I can't get no satisfaction :bigcry:

It's amazing how no one will run me with those procharger stickers on the window!!!

I've toasted several of those Monte's. Idiot's think they're in NASCAR. Don't they know not to mess with NHRA?!

I got into it (friendly) with a 65 stang sportin a 347 (I think he said) stroker runnin 11.8's. That was fun.
