Which gauge? ...one in the dash or one in the pod? If it's one in the pod, then that's an easy fix. Grab the "wings" on either side of the pod and pull down, then rotate forward. The bulbs are easy to replace.
As for the heated seat switch blinking, I'm trying to get an answer for that one myself.

Gauge bulbs are easy to replace... getting to them is another matter most of the times. I think resoldering the resistors ala the seat switch fix will fix the blinking heated seat switch problem. If not you need to replace the switch(s).

Luckily, mine did this while still under warranty and was replaced.
It is possible to repair the switch, but it's a real bite. Basically, the solder joints for the voltage dropping surface-mount resistors don't hold up well with temperature and vibration, and then they either become intermittent or open, resulting in no LED light output. Sometimes the LED's themselves also suffer from the same problem. Taking the switch apart to fix this problem is also difficult.
Assuming you're not under warranty, might be easier to buy the switch and do your own door panel removal. Once the door panel's off, it's pretty easy to replace the switch.

My drivers side is going on and off again. It was fixed under warrant 2 years ago.

Dealer replaced MrsTR's heated seat switch for the same reason and that did not fix it. Don't know what the fix is there.

its the oil pressure guageThen that's easy, just follow the instructions in my post above^^^. No tools required.
Since you haven't had the gauge pod out before, now would be a good time to replace the fake OEM oil pressure gauge with a real working one.

The heated seat lights should be the same or similar to the window switch light fix I posted ----> http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=37918&highlight=window+switch+lights
I wish I had the heated seats so I could wright up an exact fix for those.

My MM is in the dealership looking to get this fixed before the 3 year warranty is up. Tech says he may have to remove front seats to search for problem????
Anyone have a definite fix for this problem? Maybe I could start the conversation off with "I read on the internet" and watch the tech's face turn red .
Thanks. :bows:

I have a bad one (blinking lights for awhile, then they go totally out) I could send you if you want to document a fix.

Pull the door panel and replace the switch. I had it fixed on the wife's car under warranty, then fixed another one on my conversion door panel the same way.

So the guage pod comes off by pulling the assembly straight doen?? what holds it in push pins?

No, pull it straight back. There are clips that hold it in place. Put the shifter in N, D, or something like that so you have room (The gauge pod won't come out if the shifter is in P). Pull hard, then when it comes loose work it around so you can get to the electrical connectors and unplug it.

Yep, dealership fixed them under warranty with part #'s 3W1Z-14D694-AA and 3WIZ-140695-AA. Thanks! Only 13 days left on the basic 3 year warranty.
